Apple could make a ton of bad decisions... :rolleyes: I know it's not likely, but it's possible.
 
I suppose there is no reason not to preorder. If it turns out it sucks, cancel the preorder. Simple, right?

Not really. Apple doesn't charge you until the thing ships. It's a pretty safe thing to preorder, and then cancel if it turns out you don't want the thing. You are sure to get one if you do want one, but if not, no harm, no foul.
 
I would buy it, and I don't even own an iPhone right now. I left iOS for android in February, and I'm really looking forward to returning... but the Android cost $300 and resale value is only like $50 more than the old 16gb iPhone 4 I sold a month ago........ looks like I'll be waiting a while :)

There's also the return period. So once again, no real risk.
