If you didn't have an iPhone, what phone would you have?

I probably would've ended up getting a crackberry or the Nokia N95. I had my other nokia for 2 years holding out for the iphone!!!!

Probably would still have my treo 680 or a centro.. I don't like the BB's because they dont have a touch screen, and windows mobile sucks- my Dad had a cingular 8125 w/ wm and the UI was super slow and really unstable, he ended up buying a 680 for the no contract price.

Well I guess if I didn't have a iPhone, which is my current state, I would have my current phone, the Rizr Z6tv from Verizon...

Still waiting on my new iphone....but I would use my current phone the Blackberry Curve (despite all my battery issues) and would then upgrade to the new Blackberry Bold

I had the treo 700p, which actually has a great browser for message boards and most text based stuff. In a sense, it was easier to navigate/scroll, particularly with one hand. It was pretty dated in terms of the OS however.

Honestly, the iPhone is the only phone I've really wanted since I first got a cell phone 10 years ago (back then I just wanted anything). My requirement for a phone hasn't changed since 2003 or so: I wanted the best and most functional web browser available. Right now, that is the iphone.

So if it didn't exist, I'd find the phone with the best and most functional browser, and that would pretty much make my decision for me.

had a BB curve until I bought the iPhone - would buy a BB bold if the iPhone 3G didn't exist.

No iPhone = no iPhone copycats, so we'd probably just have smartphones. That's what I'd have -- some HTC 8525 type of smartphone or a schnazzy-looking blackberry.
