I ordered:
32 GB White for me
32 GB Black for husband
I feel like the only woman who takes charge and orders the family electronics. I'm always reading, "I bought my wife, I bought my girlfriend, I bought my mother....etc." Hell no, I'm the tech geek and I tell my husband what he's getting.
Haha I know the feeling! I always do the ordering for myself and my bf. I ordered my white 16gb iphone and I ordered him a htc incredible 2 (he wanted an andriod, traitor lol). Have already ordered cases and screen protectors too
White As soon as I saw Steve with the white iPhone 4 at the keynote I wanted it, but obviously there had problems with it and I already had a black iPhone 4. Got the white now! Finally

You are not alone. I'm female and the techy in the fam here too. I was up most of the night making sure we got our phones....with loads of glitches along the way. Hubby Black, myself and college daughter White. Can't wait to fly out to give it to her in 10 days! Now, what to do about cases..... >_<
White, wanted it with the 4 but couldn't get it, had White for 3G and 3GS, but now I will have a 4S White 32GB
I figured white would win-out this time around.
I noticed that all of Apple's promotional materials for the 4s mainly show the white model. My guess is that they are attempting to use that as a differentiation between the 4, which predominantly shows black models in all of the ads.
There was a lot of demand for the white 4 model that just never came due to delays. It isn't surprising that a lot of folks would go for it this time around.
Lastly, given that many are interested in "standing-out in a crowd", white makes sense since almost every phone out there is black.

My husband thought I was crazy when I set the alarm to get up in the middle of the night to order phones. I assured him that he will thank me next Friday.

White 16gb for the wife, Black 16gb for me. Only reason i ordered black was to differentiate between the 2x phones. I actually wanted white, so i might steal hers from time to time.
