I'm surprised/delighted I was able to make a purchase like this while still half asleep.
 
I ordered via the app. I had the 38 mm ss with white sport saved. After the site went down I changed my mind to the 42 mm, so I had to actually navigate to it. Clicked buy now and paid with my saved card. I had it next to me so I entered my secure code in seconds. 4/24-5/8 delivery window. :cool:

When I saw the poll, I was curious how anyone got a Apr 24 date as I was on the Apple store app at time 0 and saw only date ranges for all watches. I think the answer is, no one got an Apr 24 arrival date and the poll is not accurate. If someone does indeed have an arrival date of only Apr 24 (hard stop), I'd be interested to hear which watch and how they got it.

Mine says Delivers April 24th to May 8. However, my order was placed at 12:04 and I believe mine will be here on launch day. I was an hour and a half late ordering my iPhone and still got it on launch day.

Fingers are crossed anyway!
 
I had favorites saved, what I really wanted was in favorites, but even though I was in right when sales went live, it was already 4-6 weeks delivery. So I scanned quickly through all the choices to see if anything was faster. I saw that SS + White Sport 38mm was listing 4/24-5/8 so I bought that. Then I went back and ordered SS Link Bracelet + extra charger from the accessories. That band was listed to ship 2-4 weeks. The charger will probably arrive before the 24th! (but I guess we'll see what really happens with all of it.)

Ultimately, I ordered what I planned, in aggregate, just in the opposite way I had expected.
 
I used the Apple Store App with favourite saved. All I had to do was enter my card security which I had memorised in advance so that I could quickly do the order. I did it all on my iPhone. I had my iPad Air 2 on hand but my iPhone 6 plus did the job. I wasn't even at home so didn't have my MacBook but the trusty iPhone did the job.
 
I used The App store app on my iPhone 6+ on LTE and I had the 42mm SG Sport saved in favorites then payed with apple pay.

My confirmation email says 2:01 CST... So somehow I got in and out in under a minute.

Hoping I get it on the 24th:):):)
 
Had the SG Sport 42 as a fav, opened the app right at midnight, paid with apple pay instantly and had the confirmation email at 12:02am pst. Easy. Ships 24th-5th.
 
- Bookmarked the page with the "Add to cart" button.
- 12:01am clicked my bookmark,
- Clicked add to cart > followed steps > added Applecare+ > manually typed in a shipping address > manually typed in new credit card info > completed transaction.

April 24 - May 8 delivery date.
 
Woke up two minutes before 3 AM. Store came up for me at about 3:05 AM on my Mac. Used five different gift cards totaling $350 which I wisely typed out the pin codes in advance for quick copying pasting. Used a credit card for the taxes.confirmation email came in at 3:08 AM indicating my 38 mm Blue sport will arrive in the first batch timeframe.

used to app, had the one i wanted favored and it used my CC from iTunes all i had to do was enter in the security code and click done... in total done within 2 minutes...once i went into the app and switched from my mac pro

Ordered with the Apple Store app on my iPhone 6. Ordered one SS with classic leather band 4/24-5/8 ship date. Conformation email at 12:02am PST.
Went to order a 38mm SS with modern buckle at 12:01 and the ship time was 5-13/5-27.

And I paid with my debit card.

Exactly. It astounds me how many people are saying a date of 4/24 instead of the more accurate 4/24-5/8. There is NO guarantee delivery date of 4/24. Some will, but others with a 4/24-5/8 may not. Accuracy is NOT a strong point on these kinds of forums. Too bad.

Watch and phone were different. Dates for the watch changed within a few minutes of the start of the pre orders. So only a few of the 4/24-5/8 will come on 4/24. Odds are your will come the following week.
 
Used Apple Store app on iPhone. Had SS one favorited, and used Apple pay to purchase. Got email at 3:01am EST confirming order. April 24th-May 8th.
 
I ordered on my laptop via store.apple.com using a gift card... Then went back and ordered a second band the watch shows ship date of 4/24-5/8 but the second band shows 4-6 weeks :-(
 
I had laptop at store.apple.com/ca, iPad (Wifi) on Apple Store App, and iPhone (3G) on Apple Store App. iPad went live first. Had my watch favorited so it was a matter of just entering CC verification. :apple:Pay is of course quicker but this was so quick anyway (I don't have :apple:Pay). Confirmed at 3:02 for a 4/25-5/8 shipping date.
 
Had to sign in on the app, and type in my credit card number, still got it in by 12:03. 4/24-5/8
 
Apple pay a with a 12:01 confirmation for watch one and 12:05 for watch two. Apple pay did use my wrong credit card at first so I called today and had it changed to my Amex for that extra years warranty (everyone should buy their products using this. It's very well worth it.)
 
The website loaded first for me. The app still handnt loaded so I powered through on my Mac. Literally took 30 seconds....APPLE WATCH, MILANESE, YES APPLECARE, YES I AGREE TO THE T's AND C's! YES I WANT TO CHECKOUT DAMN IT!!!!

08:03 confirmation for me (UK). That should be enough to get it day one!
 
Website just hadn't loaded. So went in the iPhone app loaded straight away, went to favourites and buy now. Entered my security number on back of my card and ordered. So easy. So glad I enabled express checkout.

08:02 got my confirmation email.
