ifixdirect white conversion (NOT THE WAY TO GO, FOR NOW) (interesting story here)

hahaha .. that's funny ..
but well, if anyone look back to page 17 you can see when the first time i post a picture when i got the conversion kit from ifixdirect about 2 months ago. Then on page 18 there is my post asking for help, if any of you guys know a place that can do a conversion because i can't convert it by my self.
But then, feel desperate no one can help, then i have no choice except to contact ifixdirect to do the conversion which is the result not too bad at all.
FYI : i live in Jefferson - Louisiana

How do you like yours in white? Any problems so far?? the only thing thats off a little on mine is the homebutton but im getting that fixed today.home button has the same white as back cover [whiter], and front cover is a little bit off white. But it doesn't look so much different. Still looks good

what funny is, when i took my iphone to AT&T store to activate it, they think the iphone is really a White iphone. They asked me how can i get the white one since Apple hasn't released it yet .. Hahaha .. can't believe a lot of people still don't know about the conversion kit ..

Just wanted to let everyone know that it seems as if ifixdirect's customer support has certainly gotten better. Not sure about their product yet but at least they are returning emails now and that's a step in the right direction. Now to see if they will actually fix my problem lol.

The parts are crap! My front screen cracked from a fall of just over 1 foot(1 1/2 to be exact) onto carpet..
They lead me to believe the parts were completely OEM, and then over the phone changed their tune and told me they are actually cheap parts they get from eBay..
Furthermore they told me the back plate is what usually cracks and that since they couldn't replicate my result with the front they could not issue me a free replacement, and instead wanted $100+ on top of the $180 I paid for the DIY kit.
They then called me a liar, and attacked me through several emails.. lol.. guys it just gets worse and worse with this company.
Save your time and money and use someone trusted and respected, two qualities iFixDirect will never have!

I find this very strange. I actaully just converted my girlffriends iphone to white yeasterday using this company. The parts are not from ebay they are from a factory in china just like apple has a factory in china. And its funny because yesterday after i finished the DIY kit i accicently dropped the phone from the table to the kitchen floor which is about 3 feet onto hard tile and nothing broke lol, this seems a little fishy that from 1 foot onto carpet it cracked. But anyway I had a great experience with this company they were extreamly helpful and even guided me thru the colorswap via chat!!!!! what other company will do that? Anyways im not saying your wrong but it just doesnt sound like your talking about the same company.
FYI you should visit their blog i got an update this morning from their newsletter, I think its regarding your issue if your name is josh.

True. I was actually looking for a good place/source to buy the blue conversion kit. I see people buying the white ones but cant find anything about the blue
I was at their office in Brooklyn not too long ago, picked up my self a white clear back. they also did my white conversion. I'm a pretty satisfied customer

ive tracked a place in london, southark that would do this conversion for me
im more than happy to open my 2K £ macbook, but my iphone is to precious to screw up..lol and i have never done anything like this
think i will just pay a lil more to have the kit installed for me at a shop
