So are they tearing them down because they are curious or only because they are made by Apple? I don’t think they tore the XM4 apart- and that is the headphones that everyone is comparing the Max to
I’d say because they are made by Apple. There’s little to no interest in an XM4 tear down.

Is this the only product Apple has ever made without an Apple logo on it?
AirPods Pro and AirPods also have no visible logo. I think the EarPods did on the cable? I’d have to check. There’s a logo, but it’s not visible unless you take off one of the earcups.

The AirPods Max are apparently so complex, it takes over two weeks to tear down. :) And, they’re STILL not finished!

But I guess that would also require that the people who are buying them to be able to tell/appreciate the difference...
Well, most people who buy the MacBook can’t grasp or appreciate the aluminum unibody of MacBook, carved from a solid block, however it didn’t stop Apple doing it. AirPod Max is Apple’s High end offer, so I was expecting something quite different from that built, which is way overpriced, and I usually don’t say this about Apple products (appart from the MacPro wheels...)

Imagine destroying 550 dollar headphones when poor Americans like me are struggling with our 250 dollar headphones. MONSTERS! THE HUMANITY!!
They make the money back on traffic to their site. One person burning money does not affect another person getting their own.
