Does it play a slight clicking sound on top of the vibration? It sounds like a real button to me. Noticed if you put your finger over the bottom speaker it's quieter. I like it.
Oh my goodness I think you're right! I covered my bottom speaker too and it was way quieter! Very clever, Apple. :D

Add it to iCloud drive and then attach to email?

The good old iCloud Drive that suppose to solve everything.

I don't use iCloud and I use gmail app. I still think there should be easier way.

And you are right. I just tried. Attach PDF does send acutal file

I mean, I use it when I'm going to pick my phone up. I prefer to keep my phone on my desk if I'm just checking to see if I have any notifications. No point in picking my phone up just for that, when I can turn the screen on for a few seconds via the home button without having to pick it up.

Hence why my original post specifically said "when sitting on a table"

Whatever. Sitting on a table means lots of things. I can be across the room and want to check notifications and whatnot. Or I can be at my desk, macbook in front of me, phone literally inches from me on the desk.

The first one obviously siri is the way to go. But if its just inches from me, I find raise to wake the easiest thing. How hard is it to pick the phone up for a second, it lights up, you see the notifications and then set it down? I dont get the horrific inconvenience in that.

It certainly takes as much time as physically hitting the home button. Its literally the same amount of time. Hitting home button and picking it up.

Not really sure what the issue is here. Either you pick it up or dont. Pretty simple

Doesn't that just send a link, and besides, it is utterly absurd that I should even have to prepare to send a document before I reply to an email.

It does actually send actual PDF file, not link.

But you need store on iCloud Drive first, then you can send. I think this is absurd. Nothing but money grab, because Apple only give you 5GB for free.

Why write such a long post about it? You do you, I'll do me. Pretty simple.

I asked my question, got my answer. That's all.

Or I can hove my hand across the screen to check my notification (look at Moto Action)

Why respond nastily to my original post? If you dont like raise to wake dont do it. Otherwise hit the home button. I dont get the rude response originally. You have two options. home button or raise to wake. You choose your option. Not really that big of a deal
[doublepost=1474213647][/doublepost]Im not sure what people want the phone to do. You can hit home button or raise to wake. If you dont like to raise to wake. That leaves you one other option. What else is there to know?

You asked if you could see notifications if its on desk and not pick it up. I responded you can use raise to wake. You said its on desk, and didn't specify if it was on the desk and you were in the kitchen and phone was 20 feet away, or if you were literally sitting at the desk with it in front of you, inches away.

Either way, your two options are clear. You got the response and answer. What more is needed?

I literally did not respond nastily to your original post lol

I literally said noting more was needed. I didn't know if what I wanted was an option with the new iPhone. You are the one who brought up raise to wake that I never inquired about. Do me a favor, drop it. Thanks.

Hey, guys- please play nice in here. We're all here because we love Apple. Let's not sour the mood.

I actually love it! It's uncanny how it feels like I'm clicking a button even though I'm not! It doesn't feel like the button itself is clicking, but more like the whole lower portion of the phone is a giant button. Hard to fully describe it, but that's as close as I can get.

Along the same lines, I'm absolutely loving all the haptic feedback. So many subtle variances for every different kind of thing. It even buzzes super accurately in sync with the ringtone!! :D

Great job, Apple!

What level you selected?

the new home button is incredible, I've been wishing for this for years, happy to see they finally implemented it! No more crappy feeling clicks after use!

so i checked out the new phone and it took me a whole of about 15 seconds to get used to it..then going back to my 6 was going back to some antiquated technology. The old button feels terrible compared to this.
I know in general people hate change, they love being stuck whatever they are used to, the new button is amazing.

I live in the Northeast, but I wear alpaca gloves with no fingertips, even when I had a iPhone 5. I tried some phone capable gloves but the fingers were too wide and not accurate enough.

With that, I love the new button. It is weird at first and the button itself doesn't feel like it clicks, it's not very isolated to the button, it feels like it's more in the back. Anyway, I like it because I always felt (Since the early iPhones) that the button would break or wear out.

I love my 7, probably because I came from a 6 and not a 6s.

For the first hour or so it feels like the whole bottom half of the phone is pressing in, but once you get used to it you realize it's waaaay better than that clicky, deep actual home button. I love it.

And similar to the headphone jack removal, it's a solution to something that was never a problem.

Just because you don't see the need to remove it, doesn't mean there weren't any.

It will drive headphone tech forwards (and people can buy headphones with DACs to suit their wants and needs rather than just getting "stock")..... It provides more space inside the phone (which could help in removing bezels, slimming the phone and such like in future models, and water/dust resistance in the 7 and 7S).

You could argue that no-one ever needed a smartphone. There was never a problem before smartphones - we all got on perfectly fine.... But that kinda misses the point?

I envy you , my friend. Winter is coming soon for us. Hate winter, hate to store my bicycle in basement. Skiing ? COLD!!!!!!

Really sorry, but I read that in the voice of Jon Snow and it literally made me LOL... Thought I'd share, see if anyone else had done the same.... (Probably just me, though!)
