I jailbroke my phone. Installed cydia. Realized why I don't like to jail break, so I restored my phone. If nothing feels as fluid as it does stock then I could care less about it.

I'm on the other side if Apple figures out a way to stop jailbreaking or the dev-team and others quit it will probably be my last iphone. I can't stand Apples restrictions of my device! it's all about choice. what you like and what I like we can both be happy!

You're not even going to use Cydia when you'll only be in the app a small amount of time? I think the benefits far outweigh the app's issues ... especially when you'll only be using it to install apps/tweaks.

Same here.
An iPhone without the jb won't cut it for me.

Ha HA! You have no idea what potential you have with Cydia and the tweaks--your missing out but stock is good for you

1+ I have leaned I check for my updates in the morning and night when I get home from work. I made the mistake of updating at work and lost the use of my phone for the day. I might look during the day but other then something minor I update and install after work. so 30-45 seconds was never a big issue. but now Cydia is much faster. can't wait to see what they do with the Mac Cydia.

As a matter of fact I have plenty of pros about jailbreaking I've done it on every iPhone I've owned and it's had it's advantages for that time being. Once I realized that I no longer needed to be jailbroken I stopped.

I simply enjoy the stability of a stock OS, it's how it was supposed to be used and it works best for me that way. This is my everyday device for simple things like checking my email, the weather, opening documents for work, music, photos etc etc. I do not need "tweaks". I use it as a phone, and the other plenty of things it does. The app store supplied by apple is enough for me I've come to realize.

No problem Boss!! Im waiting for the untethered 4.2.1 jailbreak to come out myself--they say before xmas so we will see

Cydia is slow because Jay Freeman (saurik) doesn't take any dangerous shortcuts. It's as stable as he can make it. And I'd rather have stability than speed

@OP, You got options, DON"T USE IT.

Option 1: You can Manage your own packages manually (Good luck with that)

Option 2: You can go head and Code a APT front end, or even better you cna go head and design the whole backend for a iOS package manager, release and maintained (FOR FREE).

Once you do at least one of the two option, come back and use Cydia again!.....

OR Option 3, he can update to the new Cydia.

Was there a need for this post? Your rant has been addressed. Try the new Cydia and then make a comment.

Can anyone tell me why my version says 1.0.3366.7 and not 1.0.3366-1?

Because you got the Philippines version. I had a back and forth with some guy on here about this version. I wouldn’t trust it, but he says it works. However, it’s not from Saurik.

The back and forth.

The Phillipines version? Fan-freaking-tastic. Probably monitoring my every transaction now. I just tried uninstalling it however it prompts me that, by doing so, my stuff might not work. Is there a way to uninstall this version and install the Saurik version without messing up my phone? Thanks.
