Have been using plus models from two years now and got regular iPhone 7 matt black this year ,the phone is so pocket friendly and handy to use, the perfect size for me to carry around (run, walk, travel) every thing i do. Not thinking about going back to plus model for now

Perhaps the biggest reason in the past to go plus was the battery life. Regular 7 has a stellar battery life so no reason, for me at least, to go plus anymore.

There are plenty of 5-5.2" phones that are no bigger or even smaller than the 4.7" iPhone. Apple has a lot of areas for improvement when it comes to shrinking the phone size but keeping or increasing the display dimensions.

I have a samsung s7 and it has major issues with one handed use because the bezels are so narrow, impossible to reach to other side of phone without palm touching left part of screen and usually hitting a key - narrow bezels look good but they are impractical, unless you have optimised touch rejection at edges, which the s7 doesnt seem to have.

There is a lot more reasons to go to the Plus model than not. Sure the battery life is superior over the 4.7, but the Plus offers 1080 P screen and improved camera. That is, if you can appreciate the larger 5.5 screen.

If you use a phone one handed allot, don't go for the Plus.

I've had an iPhone 6 Plus and Nexus 6. With both I loved the size initially and then got sick of the lack of practicality around the size.

Are the hardware differences between the 7 and 7 Plus significant enough to justify the larger harder to carry size of the 7 Plus? Would the average user notice any significant performance differences between the two in day to day use?
7+ hands down. Higher screen resolution, bigger battery, bigger RAM, better camera, bigger screen, higher resale value.

This thread title made me think of that Natalie Imbruglia song.
I thought I saw a phone brought to life. It was warm it came around and it was dignified.

If you're torn, I would recommend the ER:cool:
Regarding your phone issue question, I went with the 7 because the plus size would not fit in any of my pockets.

The plus is truly uncomfortable in the pants for most men and many women. It's a purse phone. The regular 7 is also uncomfortable in pants. Both are too big. The 7 Plus is just much too big--for clothes, not for eyes.

Having said that, I think the 7 Plus is a better choice, especially for those 45 and older, who have or will have presbyopia (as all humans eventually do). If both phones are too big, which in my opinion they are, you may as well get the benefit of "big" by going 7 Plus. I've had two regular 7-size phones and compared the two sizes extensively. Each time, I returned the 4.7 inch phone.

I use my phone a lot for work. emails, texts, pictures and I have to use Runzheimer app for my mileage so battery life is very important. My 6 Started our fine, but of late the battery has started to need charging buy 1:00 or so. I just hate to spend this much for a phone. I can get a new 6S Plus for $299 versus 499 for the 7 PLus. I'm tempted to just do that.

Target sells Levi's jeans that have massive front pockets, if that helps.

Nice features is something and then daily usages is another story. I like very much the iPhone 7 Plus bigger screen, dual lens camera and the idea of having 3 gigs of ram but when I've tried it over more than one week I felt it really not convenient to use daily: such as looking for an information or getting a call while walking in the street or when having one hand busy and trying to use it with one hand, etc. Many of those situations happen every times in your daily life and this is getting really annoying... Plus the bad impression that the iPhone will fall on the ground all the time. Well I've decided to go with the iPhone 7 as my daily driver and feel really happy with this feeling of very handy device.

I have no problem carrying it my pants, usually in my back pocket (no it doesn't bend, no I don't sit on it ;)), or I put it in my jackets, and I don't wear particularly "large" pants...(I didn't say too skinny either :p)

I got the plus size with the 6. Stayed with plus size for the 6s and 7. Have to say, for me and my son, we both could not go back to smaller screen size now. Yes non plus is easier to carry, but you get hooked on the screen size of the plus.

In two weeks I was hooked, I make whatever accommodations I need to for the larger size iPhone. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.:)

iPhone 7+, lululemon size 2, no problem ;)

I really wanted a phone which could use the portrait mode, but I wasn't sure about upsizing from a 6S. To help decide I printed a full-scale drawing of a 7+, glued it on a piece of cut-to-fit foam core, and carried it around in my pocket for a week. Tried it out in my various coats too. No problem so I got a 7+. My wife's 6 looks itty-bitty now and the + feels normal. No regrets and I really, really like the images I can get with the portrait mode.

I had the plus in a total of 4 times, tried it from the 6S to 7 and just couldnt get used to it, i'm 5'1 and small hands, loved the idea of a bigger screen but day to day use it wasn't good enough so I went back to a standard 7 looking forward to next years iPhone though with the 5 inch display perfect and finally!

I've never run into a problem with my phone in my pocket. My wife hasn't either. I've had a 6+ and 7+ and my wife has had a 6s and now the 7+. She doesn't carry a purse and commented that it's no more trouble to keep in her pockets than her 5s.

My eyes aren't perfect so the 7plus for me perfect vision the 7 easier to carry

The "larger and heavier" concern is more important than most things when deciding a Plus or a 4.7".

You use this device every single day. If it's difficult to hold and handle go with the standard sized iPhone 7.

Agree.
[doublepost=1479392997][/doublepost]I like the screen size of the Plus better than the screen size of the regular iPhone.

However, I hate carrying the Plus. It's too big.

The smaller phone is too big, as well.

Neither one is perfect.

I came from a 6 to a 7+.

Now the 6/7 looks so tiny, loooove the plus. Is not that big of a deal you'll get use to it in an hour
