I was debating between getting rid of my air 2 and I got a pro, I then heard the Mini had the best screen...I can't justify having so many iPads.

Think you are doing this because it's more convenient to use the mini due to size

I normally use my air 2 at home and mini 4 at work or out and about. That said sometimes before bed using the mini is better due to its size. Depends what you are doing

The iPP requires more arm movement to initiate actions, though a long cheap stylus remedies that. My mini4 is being used more often as well and you are correct, the size makes it unobtrusive.

Using the iPP for Kindle is great, you have two good sized pages much like you have with real textbooks. I didn't anticipate that prior to getting it.

Same thing with my air 2, I ended up not using my pro as much as it. I returned it for full price. If you don't use it, I would advise to return it while you can and get all your money back. I thought about keeping mine, but you can always buy it again in the future for the same price (or cheaper used/refurb). Just my 2 cents.

If you don't use the pencil or value the larger screen, there is little reason to keep it IMO. Of course getting a pencil is..... Let's just say it's difficult.

For personal use, it's ~50/50. I'm tending to use the Pro more because I'm using it in place of my laptop at work. I'm sure once I get the Pencil, personal use will skyrocket (taking the place of the Surface Pro 3 - my current drawing tablet).

I have both the Mini 4 and the Pro but I find that I reach for the Mini and hardly ever use the Pro.

do you have Apple keyboard for your ipp? If not i am sure holding it must be very difficult. I mostly use ipp now after Apple keyboard.

Let's actually be honest. It's not a Pro. There's nothing really "Pro" about it. It should be called the iPad XL.

The mini is a favorite for many, many people. It's extremely capable.

It isn't quite immersive enough for me though. I'm loving pro. Should I ever feel the need for a smaller unit to replace it or to work alongside it, I would simply get the current air at that time.

I found the pro ackward and going for the iPad Air during the first week, now into my second week, I go for the pro and the air feels ackward small.

Probably sell the air now, week ago was going to be the pro

I can relate to this. Only had my 11” Pro for 24hrs & after using it, I am now more convinced than ever, that an 8” to 9” screen, in the form factor on the new Pro would be the perfect iPad for me. However, I am not giving up on the 11” Pro just yet & am trying my best to use it instead of my Mini4 where possible. Hopefully, over time, I will adjust/learn to love the 11” Pro, as I know that when I switched from an iPhone 5S to an iPhoneX, initially, I disliked the X (thought it was too large), but 12 months on, I love my iPhone X & would now find it difficult to go back to a smaller phone, so maybe something similar will happen with the iPad?

The whole ‘size’ thing is a strange one & I have kind of been here before, but the other way around. I had the original iPad at launch, followed by an iPad 4, then in 2013, I ordered an iPad Air & a Mini2 (at launch) & planned to use both. Initially, I did not like the Mini2 & thought that the display was too small, but within a couple of weeks, I found myself reaching for the Mini ALL the time (it was just so comfortable to use) & after a year or so, I ended up giving the Air to a family member. So I am now giving the larger iPad another try, partly because I am fed up of waiting for Apple to update the Mini, but also because my thinking is that, yes, I am compromising by going back to a device with a footprint very similar to the 9.7” iPad, but I am also gaining a very decent increase in screen real estate over the regular 9.7” (from 7.9” to 11” certainly feels significant). Definitley glad I did not opt for the new 12.9” Pro (for a mad moment, I was considering it!) - it really would have been too much for me to handle (quite literally!)

Apple just has no love for the iPad Mini it seems! Not been updated really since 2014! Has the A8 inside from Mini 3. Mini 4, Apple double the RAM to 2GB but still keep the A8, It is going on 2019 and still no new Mini!

I have been saying for years now that the iPad Mini is the most perfect size for portability and screen real estate. They need to make the pencil work on the new mini. I would buy that in a heart beat.

I had the older 12.9 IPP for a short bit but sold it shortly after because it was so cumbersome to lug around. I don't really need that big of a screen either.

Have the 12.9” and love it....but really wish that Apple would update the mini to use with the pencil. The mini 4 is great for some of my use cases.
