iMac 21.5" GT 650M Benchmark Underdog!

What about the 640m? Everyone always leaves this one out :(

I just got this model and wonder if its worth it to try and game.
 
Currently debating on the 21.5 vs 27 iMac for CS6, Lightroom, and light gaming via bootcamp. Would really appreciate someone's input on the 650m's performance! WoW, BF3, and Diablo III are the titles I would play every now and then. Would like to know what settings these games are payable at on the 650m, (ultra, high, medium) in bootcamp.

Because this is a thread specifically about the 650m and not the 640m...perhaps starting your own thread would be the way to go instead of trying to hijack this one?
 
You don't have any problems for diablo 3 or wow everything max
But CoD is call of duty GO?

Much like anything else, those who are unaware, say it incorrectly. They just think everyone else says it the same way they do. Usually when you hit a certain age, or get called out for saying it incorrectly, you realize that NO, not everyone says it that way ;)
 
Could anyone please try the Il-2 Cliffs of Dover (Windows only) available through Steam for 9.99$ and report the results??

The 21.5" is an effective gaming machine...I've been gaming with it since December. So far, I've beat Borderlands, Max Payne 3, and The Walking Dead! Playing Batman Arkham Asylum now and the game runs like butter on high settings with 1920 x 1080.
 
How is your fps in diablo 3 or starcraft 2 (if you play one of these) native resolution everything high?

At 1920x1200 resolution, I can max out everything in SC2 except for shaders (one notch lower) and no AA with 50+ FPS.
 
He has retina macbook and thats why he plays at 1920x1200, is the closes resolution

Makes sense, I guess the retina MBP is comparable in performance. Would like to hear the results from people with the actual 21.5" 650m though. Seems so rare, this thread almost feels dead.
 
I think due to a little low resolution 1080 instead of 1200..starcraft 2 will have over 50-60fps.
 
I think games like Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 are perfect for an iMac. Blizzard still know how to make them and you don't need windows to run them.
They look great on any late iMac 21.5 or 27
 
GTA 4 i don't know but Skyrim it's ok on native resolution. Everything on high+some medium
 
Anyone play Heart of the swarm? How is you fps at the beginning of a 2v2 or 3v3 matchup ? I mean in the first 10-15 seconds of the match

I am planning to buy an iMac, wanna ask if I sometimes play GTA, hitman, which iMac n wt configurations should I choose? Thx a lot
