    Hi,

Can someone tell me if you go for this iMac (top end one).
    • 4.2GHz quad-core 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
    • 8GB 2400MHz DDR4
    • 1TB SSD
    • Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB video memory
    • Magic Mouse 2
    • Magic Keyboard - British
Regarding the SSD? What are the exact spec's of this SSD? Is it a SATA SSD or PCI-E SSD? Or whatever else?

Would like to know exactly what £540 extra buys you.

    Thanks,

As mentioned its a fairly high end PCIe SSD albeit proprietary.

Retail for a equivalent SSD (1tb) is about 500 usd, less on sale. However since the SSD is proprietary in the iMac you'd need to pay quite a bit more to upgrade it yourself (Apple SKU tax).

The noticeable performance difference is worth the money if you can afford.
