I loved this Mac and it was my first iMac. It's only problem was the CD drive hitting the keyboard, but if that lampshade came out today for the first time it wouldn't need the drive.

Why am I suddenly having a craving for a white coconut Hostess Snoball ?

And now, 20 years later, Apple’s innovations involve bringing back the headphone jack, adding notches to everything, and Ted Lasso.

For a split second, I saw that picture, and thought "they're bringing that design back? Woooooo! Might just be the push I need to get a new Mac!"

Then I saw it was just a historical retrospective, and I turned to the side to look at the still-functional iMac G4 sitting on my bookshelf, and shook my head sadly.

That hovering display was REALLY ergonomic for me, the ability to move it up and down and side-to-side so effortlessly still can't be matched by modern all-in-one designs.
I totally agree with ya, but i only have seen 3 macs in my life and never used them, One was a iMac G3, the other two were Macbook Airs. If they redid this design I'd break in and get a taste of the Mac, for now. I am limited to a iPhone for my needs.

My first contact was a G4 15'' flat panel with 700MHz at our school. I immediately fell in love with those computers. A few years later I bought my own G4 20'' and now he can also enjoy his 2nd life.

It's such an eyecatcher, everyone who enters my living room stops at this, still after it's 20 years old. Looks good, sounds good.

Typical Apple: Think different!
