With all this hype the iPhone will have a tough time living up to it's very high expectations.

People tend to think this, only because there's scarce information about the iPhone, so we don't exactly know all it's features and capabilities. I doubt the iPhone will flop, just because of the hype. Also, Apple drives us crazy like this, just so we can watch their every move. It's good publicity/marketing skills if you ask me.

As for the iMac info, this is good! I'm actually looking to update my dad's desktop soon (he's using an eMac he's had for 3 years), and his birthday's in August, so if these computers came out between then, it'd be perfect!

A 27"/30" is probably gonna come along the update. It's about damn time, I say!:D
:apple:

I seriously hope apple makes transparent of what it did with each update, I don't need junks that has nothing to do with my computer, its disappointing.

I'll have one of those please. :p
Would make a decent high def TV for the bedroom too.

No doubt. If they came out with a bigger screen, I would replace my living room TV with an iMac. I might anyway as our current TV is only 22" and being a CRT it takes up a lot of real estate (though the picture is great). I don't ever watch television, just movies and an iMac would be perfect. Plus with it connected to my Onkyo receiver, I could have a great surround sound DVD player and CD player/iTunes player and our multimedia requirements are taken care of. Replaces my DVD player, CD player, and TV all in one piece of equipment that happens to be a computer as well.

I am just hoping for something a little bigger.

Ah screw Yahoo its all about Google!

Despite that line my friend (and I know you're joking, like the tone of this missive), I still use my Yahoo! Calendar in conjunction with Address Book and Mail. Google doesn't have the features for me (they seem to think simpler is better and it is, but not for all things).

Being able to use my Yahoo! Calendar along with seamless Address Book and Mail capabilities makes iPhone a must have.

The real question is... 4GB or 8GB?

Too late. :(

Monopolies are NOT a bad or illegal thing per se...MS got busted because of its practices in terms of illegally abusing of its dominant power. It's a totally different thing.

Google so far has not shown a SINGLE similarity to MS's practices. They have grown on great products and wide adoption of free and standards-compliant goodies by people.

So far, so good, thus.

But yeah, I prefer some REAL Mac news...the iPhone is surely rocking, but I will be more excited about new machines...not new phones.
