When Apple finally announces an entirely new iMac with an M-series chip, do you expect there to be a brand new Magic Mouse as well? There might be at least two factors to consider.

First, the current Magic Mouse has been a polarising design, and is by all accounts an example of form over function. A whole product redesign would surely be the opportunity to provide something that doesn't require a user to claw at it, just to perform basic multi-touch gestures...

But this ties into another point; could Apple make the Magic Trackpad part of the standard config? Especially now that these Macs can run iOS apps, there might be more of a reason to replace the mouse once and for all.

And let's face it - I'm sure even Apple knows that if a user wants a mouse, they're going to pick a third-party product that is easily better.

Thoughts?

I’m hoping for a new small wireless keyboard. The current one has the awkward arrow key arrangement. I’ve been using my older Apple keyboard that has the better layout but I would love to have it rechargeable without replaceable batteries.
