I disagree. I liked it when all applications were based on a diamond icon, all documents were a page with a folded corner, etc... I think the consistency helped to identify things. Consistency in the interface was one of the best things about Macs, I thought.why does Apple want to move away from the 3d like icons/images and real life objects?
...
This feels like a step backwards.
It's not fake... someone took a picture of an iPhone running iOS 7 and this is a picture of someone showing that picture on their phone. That's why the angle is bad.
why does Apple want to move away from the 3d like icons/images and real life objects? Won't it just end up looking like an ugly Android device?
I like when the podcast app looked like a reel to reel machine.
I like when a book in ibooks looks like a book.
Curious to see it.
This feels like a step backwards.
People appear to get bored of things after a short amount of time. If we had this new flat design that is coming out for the last six years people would be saying it is boring and dated and love whatever new design they came out with. (unless they hated it)
I'm kind of indifferent to the whole thing I am more concerned with how it functions over how it looks. A new look would not hurt though.
Most of those icons just look like the FlatIcons jailbreak theme (with the rounded edges option)..
