This article has nothing to do with the iPhone. Again this is an entry level device targeting a young demographic much like the sidekick. I'm sure it gives the usuals an opportunity to masturbate over Apple design but this is completely unrelated.
And I disagree with Balmer on the majority of what he says, but he was spot on about the iPhone. If AT&T didn't subsidize the device, it would have languished - especially in this economy. The original iPhone business model was tanking internationally without economic worries.
