Im outside of contract. Would sell and move to different provider. Sprint seems to be the only provider that has issues with its POS wavelengths entering buildings.

Understood. Personally, I left Sprint 2 years ago because their coverage sucks and lots of dropped calls.

I've had this same issue. Sometimes it happens when I try and send a message, but sometimes it will happen randomly, and I won't notice till much later when I realize I haven't gotten a text in a while. One time the glitch actually turned my iMessage off in the settings menu. Extremely frustrating. I've found that turning the phone off and back on usually works to temporarily solve the problem. Hopefully Apple will release an update sooner rather than later!!

this is messed up. especially since we are dealing with a new iOS that doesnt really clearly show the messages have hung up. that dumb blue sending bar sorta blends into the iOS design.

so are people still having this issue? I am. resetting network settings does not work, restoring my phone has, but then its back to not working in a few hours, I restored my phone 3 times yesterday. Also at one point my phone didnt want to pick up my home wifi either, i tried everything, and the only thing that worked was a restore, but when i restored from back up it didnt work again so I had to restore as a new phone again. I am assuming this is all issues with iOS 7.

Strangely, mine are sending a lot better today.

The wife and I took the day off and to that end I'm at home on Wi-Fi. I have switched off cellular data (something I've not done before) and my iMessages have been sending flawlessly today!

My sister-in-law wasn't responding to texts from my wife and I. She had received them and been replying but they weren't going out. I told her to reset the phone and iMessage is now working for her in both directions.

Ive had this too..... its been resolved for about 5 or 6 days now. I turned off imessage, turned off facetime, reset network settings then turned them both back on again.

I don't want to jinx it but mine has been working for a couple days as well. And now, it's going to stop. :D

imessage not work

For some reason, my iMessages have been having spotty successful sending rates after upgrading to iOS 7. All messages don't send through iMessage and I have to resend the messages as text messages in order for them to go through. If I restart my phone, for some reason that helps with messages being sent as iMessage, but after a while, it goes back to not working.:mad:

I started having the dreaded iMessage issue after upgrading to 7.0.2. The sending bar would go up to almost the end, but then it would stick there indefinitely.

A phone restart would solve the issue for 24 hours, but then it would always appear again. Resetting the network settings didn't make any difference.

What *did* help and solved my issue was the following:
- I disabled iMessage
- I left it disabled for 24 hours
- I re-enabled it

When doing that, I received the notification on my Macs that an iPhone 5 is now using iMessage with my phone number (as if I had added a new device). Note that this did *not* happen by only briefly disabling iMessage and re-enabling it.

It has worked ever since, and it's been several days.

Same for me. issues on 7.0 and 7.02.

Restarting didn't fix.

Fix for me was same as previous poster:

Turn off iMessage.

Reset Network settings

Turn iMessage back on

fixed
Tried that twice, it didn't help though. The problem started just today for me.

Any known fixes for the following situation:

I have two contacts that use ios7, with iMessage turned on. When I send them texts it shows up on my phone as iMessage. But in theirs, it shows up as texts. Further more when they send messages it shows up as texts on my phone. And of course this messages don't show up on my ipad, just the messages that I send are shown.

I've restarted my services and both have restarted theirs but it doesn't fix the issue. I have multiple other ios contacts that don't have any issues at all. Any thoughts?

My wife is having this issue on her iPhone as well. Picture messages are failing all the time. There is no fix that I've found. I thought it was a corrupt SMS database so I did a full factory reset. By the end of the day, she had gotten a failure  Apple needs to fix this.

Two workarounds(that are completely unacceptable) I've used are power off/back on and trying to resend or turning airplane mode on/off then trying to resend.
