It worked for me... Also, I don't have any problems with HDMI audio.

great, have a cookie. :D

Just because you're not experiencing the problem, does not mean it doesn't exist.

**FIXED**

As said by one member, this trick worked for me and I've now gone a solid day without having to restart my phone, and it DOESN'T involve resetting network settings!!

Turn off iMessage
Restart iPhone
Turn on iMessage

It's been fixed for over a day now and usually restarting my iPhone only made it work for 15 minutes, then it reverted back.

Wanted to share that, and I hope it works for everyone else!

Can confirm that this makes no difference.

I've done it 4 times already today.

This is a gigantic issue and it's concerning that we aren't hearing more about an effort to get it fixed.

It's very obnoxious and definitely overdue for a fix.

This (and the few other bugs) are making me seriously consider selling my iPhone. The mantra "It just works" is no longer valid.

One of my biggest issues is that this bug drains your battery badly when stuck in "Sending..." mode. Hell 95% of the time I'm wondering why I'm not getting an answer to find out the thing hasn't even sent yet.

This a thousand times this! I was only getting about 4 hours on a full charge. It finally dawned on me that I had txts waiting to be sent even though I have SMS on for when iMessage can't be sent. I've since turned iMessage off just cause I can't deal with it anymore. If rumors are true this bug should be fixed next week. *fingers crossed*

Where did you see the rumor? Are there any reports on 7.0.3 yet?

And yes, the iMessage bug is a huge pain. However, the audio controls on my lock screen are also broken (they literally do nothing) since 7.0.2, and that's a close second, as my music doesn't automatically start playing when my car's bluetooth audio connection fires up.

I would do the same exact thing, but unfortunately I'm inside quite a bit. Since my pos Sprint service is spotty at best I have to rely on iMessage :-/

When are they going to fix iMessage?
Per the link in the previous post, and some earlier posts, it seems sometime soon (hopefully in the next update which will hopefully be out in the very near future).

Why not just turn iMessage off and send text messages until it is fixed? How is selling your phone and going elsewhere going to fix your problem when you will end up sending text messages with another phone anyhow?

That's ok. You will forget all about it when you update to 7.0.3 next week and everything is just fine (until more stuff gets fixed in 7.1)

I can't keep rebooting my iPhone every 2 hours to get this fixed it's getting on my nerves.

I disabled iMessage
Reset Network Settings
Enabled iMessage

This was for 7.0.2 ... 5 & 5S .. iPhone & iPad

Yep, this worked for me. Had the problem with my iPad 4, but not at all on my new iPhone 5S. Turning iMessage off in Settings, then resetting the network settings, then re-enabling iMessage (after the reboot) seems to have fixed it.

I've been having issues with iMessage since upgrading to 7.0.2, it looks like they're sending and then it just stalls and does nothing, no error just no send. Tried restarting a few times and no joy, a google search brought me here and I tried a few things people suggested and my phone was still stalling on send.

Until, I disabled background app refresh, it sends with no issue now. Not sure how the two are related but it worked for me!

If you're having these issues, it's worth a go because it's incredibly annoying.

I have my background refresh off as well and it still fails sometimes. The "fix" works for me, though annoying, until the 7.0.3 fix is pushed!

Im outside of contract. Would sell and move to different provider. Sprint seems to be the only provider that has issues with its POS wavelengths entering buildings.

Not just Sprint. I'm on Verizon and am experiencing this issue!

Add me to this list. Had several iMessages that never indicated that they didnt send until I rebooted. When I resent them all they did go through. Hope that update comes out soon.

I had this problem and did the reset network settings thing. It fixed the problem, but it happened again the next day. Quite annoying, especially after chewing out my wife for not reading my reply to her text (which she never received, thanks to iOS7).

What is a POS wavelength?

Add me to that "imesssage doesn't work for me" list. After I upgraded to 7.0.2, I can't even tell who's phone is actually having a glitch anymore.
