Most but not all of them run some form of Unix/Linux or OpenSource origin OS would be the only thing I think you would need to add.

Jeez, the bloody arguments, a netbook is basically a smaller version of a laptop.. its got a smaller screen, smaller keyboard, most of the times an Atom Processor, can have low harddisk space, and does not have space for storage devices, but there are those that does support SD Cards. I think (not 100% sure, but I am 85% certain) they can be connected to external drives
I think as time goes by the definition of a netbook will change. In a nutshell, a netbook is for really simple basic computing
