impressions of leather case on iPhone 6

Is the bottom more open because the so called 'Apple' 5S leather case wouldn't accommodate the so called 'Apple' designed lightning adapters for the docks? That was/is crazy you have to take the case off to use their pin/lightning adapter.

The black leather case I have for the 5S despite getting very marked on the back is a decent fit but a pain to keep taking off to dock. Can't advise for you 6 people but it's decent protection.

I really like the black leather case on my Space Gray 6. It feels good, but "different" than the leather case felt on my 5s somehow. It does feel almost synthetic...but not cheap. Maybe it will soften up as use progresses.

I don't have one but I watched Detroitborgs video on it and he said it feels slicker than the 5s case, which made it feel more synthetic-like. But also that it could make it less likely to pick up grime like the 5s case.

I have had the leather case for my 5, and just bought one for my 6. I like the feel of the case and it has held up reasonably well.
One word of caution, if you get any other colour than black, it will look very dirty within a short period of time. I had a brown one and it looked awful after a couple months.

I had a cheezy plastic case that failed to protect my 4s. I went the other way and put my 5s in an otterbox - no breaking for me! A year later it looks and feels like a brick, especially next to my wife's leather clad 5s. I'm going for leather + AppleCare. Don't know about screen protection.

This. It is not the same supple leather that was used on the iPhone 5s version. Mine was also a bit rolled or wrinkly around the top corners, so it doesn't look as clean and streamlined. I think the silicone version may not have that potential issue. i am going to the Apple store next month to exchange it.

Has anyone seen the pink colour one? To me looking online it was my favourite, just curious if it looks more pinkish and feminine in person? I'm a guy BTW.

I am male and about as far from being gay as possible. I agree about the pink. The pink case on the white phone looks amazing. I actually bought an extra phone in white along with the pink case.

The case actually looks more beige than pink. If you look closely in bright daylight, you can see the hint of pink, but otherwise, I think it isn't pink enough for those who want real pink.

In the end, I decided on a black phone, so I am not using the pink case, but if I chose the white phone, I probably would.

The so called leather case is prone to scratches too easily I've learned that from having one for my 5S after I dropped it it did save my phone but the leather came right off on the corner. I went with the silicone version instead now the baby blue may not be the most masculine but it's Apple it's supposed to be colorful.

I saw them yesterday while I was picking up my phone. The woman beside me was complaining that hers looked more beige than pink, and the man across from me loved his because of that. It's kind of a fleshy looking color
It didn't look girly to me

Yeah, my 6 leather case already has a couple scratches on the back. Other than that, I like it.

I'm trying to decide between leather or silicone for my 6 Plus. Had leather on my 5, but feel like the silicone may provide slightly better grip on 6 Plus, thoughts?

...It's kind of a fleshy looking color

Lol! I could just picture someone walking into an Apple Store asking for a "flesh" color iPhone case. :p

all the colors are great.. black, brown, blue, red, soft pink

in that order.

i went with the brown because its deep and has that antique look to it. besides i don't want to be plain jane black case.

I picked up the leather case for my iPhone 6 but I won't have the phone for a few weeks. It does look pretty thin. I can't imagine it providing too much protection but it doesn't add much thickness to your phone. Will be good for some general protection and remediating the sliperiness, but I doubt it will offer much drop protection.

That's called patina, not dirt :)

The Apple leather cases feel really cheap, almost like a synthetic plastic. I opted for the Apple silicone case it does not add that much to the size.

Does not add much you say. That's good - what about grip? How is the grip on the silicone case? I'm trying to get one that's not going to add bulk and has a nice grip as holding one hand even on the 6 a little harder then the 5

I bought the Apple leather case for temporary use till my Sedio Surface arrives on Monday with its holster.

I like it that I can set my 6 face down and it keeps the screen safe and off the surface it is laying on. The case maybe leather but is far from looking or feeling like it. It adds little bulk and provides a better grip.

I think they're alright. I may return mine and look for another case or go naked. The phone feels so much better without the case, I got the brown one on a space gray iPhone. It does look classy

I almost had the phone slip out of my hand. Ran straight to the Apple store and bought the case and put AC+ on my phone. I bought the leather one for my 6. The leather has a very smooth luxurious feel and it's very slim, but it will definitely wear and scratch more easily than the silicone one. I would have preferred the 5s design which covered the bottom of the phone though.

Nice, thanks. Not bad, I guess just don't drop your iPhone face down, hehe. Easier said than done. Seems like these cases provide enough protection for a few average drops though, as well as making the phones more grippy, decreasing the chances you will have a drop in the first place. My iPhone 6 Plus is way too slippery without a case, it's like it's always trying to jump out of my hand.

I purchased the black leather iPhone 6 case for myself and bought my girlfriend the white silicone iPhone 6 case. I am extremely satisfied with the leather case and would recommend it. It fits tight and keeps the phone slim, exactly what I wanted. Didn't know if she would like the silicone case but after putting it on it is tight and looks great. So far from what I found the cases made by apple are pricey but fit great. Am happy I purchased them and have no regrets!

I love the black leather case I got for my plus.

Yesterday one of my employees was checking out my phone for a few minutes, and when she handed it back to me, she asked, "Are you going to get a case for it?" She didn't even realize that it was in a case.

That might not be for everyone, but I specifically wanted a case that didn't add any bulk. Definitely happy with it.

Got while silicone case on my space gray 6. Looks great. The silicone adds solid protection and makes for a firmer grip than other, more slippery cases. No bulk.
