Glad to assist, hate to see others wasting a few days of their iMZDL contract, trying to get it to work with 5.1.1 heh. (or any pay server, I just want to ensure Spite is replaced as well lol)

Apparently it is.. Imzdl have launched their own Siri mod.. And guess what it's faster than even an iPhone 4s. No literally, it's faster.. Imzdl rocks.. :)

Yeah, the issues your seeing are likely something you need to alert AssistantExtensions author to fixing.

i think i figured the culprit. since i've updated to 5.1.1, i've decided not to use SBSettings and opt. in for NCSettings & Omnistat instead. i think AssistantExtensions needs SBSettings to toggle on/off WiFi. i'll shoot an e-mail to the dev.

In other things...i want to try this iModSiriPort(another Spire Alt.) that IMZDL been blabbering about on their FB Page...

They're "blabbering" about it because it's the fastest Siri port going. I'm testing it right now, and it is by far the quickest and best Siri port on Cydia, especially when using their proxy (which it's designed to work with).

How long is the beta testing period ?

so i decided to try out iMZDL's Siri Port and it's amazingly fast and uses less memory compare to Ac!d plus i don't have to deal with the retarded update to Ac!d 3 that causes your phone to get stuck on the apple logo. what i've notice lately since i've installed both Siri Ports on 5.1.1 (Ac!d & iModSiriPort), when closing Siri after a dictation or any type of command. the phone's sound gets lower/weaker. the only way to bring it back up is by readjusting the volume or playing the ringtone on Sounds. i wonder if 4S users have this issue too?

Where can the one from iMZDL be downloaded from? I don't see it on their website. I'm using the ac!id siri at the moment with iMZDL's proxy. It works but I'd like to try the one designed to work with their proxy and see if it's better/faster.

remove Ac!d then reboot(hold power button till the "slide to power off" comes on then turn it off and then turn it back on<<<must do this so you don't run into the boot loop problem). then go to this website and follow the instructions and add the repo to cydia - http://siri.imzdl.com/?page=instructions

I'm stupid. I googled it right after posting that and found that link. Much appreciated though. Downloading it at the moment. Excited to see how it works!

I've been unable to get it working so far since updating to 5.1.1. I had Spire working with their proxies on 5.0.1. I set my phone up as 'new' after the 5.1.1 restore and then used redsnow to jail break. I then installed Siri Port before anything else.

I've done the cert download and matching server install from Cydia, rebooted, deleted the appropriate plist, rebooted again, etc. with no luck. I've emailed them now for more ideas.

Now working again

Was working great for me; then suddenly stopped.
Followed the instructions...deleted and reinstalled iModSiri, deleted the plist, reinstalled the certificates....nothing.

Edit: uninstalled everything and set up again...now working again

The new Siri app works great, you just need to install the certificate first, then the app and the proxy off the Cydia proxy. Reboot, then turn on Siri. Worked perfect on both devices.

Anybody else getting the volume issue after going back to the homescreen/locksreen after your done using Siri? mines lowers the volume down to like 15% which also lowers the lock sounds/keyboard clicks/text tones/ringtones...

Don't know why I can't leave well enough alone. Removed ac!d and trying this now. Will report back if I have the volume issue.

UPDATE: Okay, not sure why I decided that downloading 100MB over 3G was the best thing in the world for me to do....that took forever. However, it is done and working just fine. No volume issues whatsoever.

Sadly, I am probably going to wipe and restore my phone again, because I can't for the life of me remember all the stupid dependencies ac!d had when it installed and I don't want remnants of it lingering on my phone. Woo hoo for backups I guess.

This isn't working for me.

I've deleted iMod and downloaded it again. I've installed the certificate and proxy (#3 in northern California for me) and even deleted that .plist with iFile but nothing.

I've emailed the guys over at iMZDL but no response yet. I truly don't know what I'm doing wrong.

So I haven't used IMZDL's Siri Servers in a while, but tried to last week (after maybe a month or two break). It wasn't working while I was in LA. I took a look at their webpage, and they were talking about a different iModSiri install for their servers. Finally got around to trying to install it today.

Now if you go back through this thread to my last message, I was having problems installing their certificates at http://siri.imzdl.com/install and my phone would give the message of "Your phone is not activated" when trying to install their custom profile. Got it remedied by emailing them and they send me certificates I could install via email. Weird.

So today I uninstalled Spire and all the Siri mods I had, and tried to install their certificates off their site again, no go. I did go ahead and install iModSiri off their repo and the server info from the repo in hopes that maybe the old certificate they sent would still work, but no dice. I get connection issues.

If I check my UIUD on my iPhone via http://siri.imzdl.com/check.php it tells me I'm not registered. Blah.

If their site says that you are not registered, then either you paid for a different phone, or your phone's UIUD changed after you paid and registered (I guess that is possible if it was repaired and some hardware was swapped) or iMZDL messed up somehow.

In any case, you need to email them and describe their problem. They seem quite motivated to help. If the UIUD is not on file, it will definitely not work.

This new one is for iPhone 4 users on jailbroken 5.1 or 5.1.1.

I've read some are having teething issues with this new type of Siri port.

Decided imzdl support is crap. Haven't been able to connect to any server for days now and haven't heard a peep back from support.

Try a different server.

I'm in the Uk and have had no problems.
