Just want to share my experience with Spire. Installed Spire and paid the $20. But like others, My3G and Spire weren't playing nice. Apple apps would not open. Uninstalled My3G. Now Siri will not work over 3G network. Only wifi. So I installed 3G unrestrictor 5 from Cydia. Everything works fine now!!!

I assume these are problems with just Spire so I'd contact @chpwn with your problems so he can hopefully make it more compatible and better overall!

I'm glad people are enjoying Siri on their iPhone 4 and/or iPad 2.

Trust me when I say I am one of THE most skeptical people there is when it comes to data privacy, but iMZDL is the only website I would have bought proxy access from. I'm not endorsed by them to big them up, there's no sales pitch involved on my part, I just don't like seeing people who are overly paranoid or lacking in knowledge to come on and scaremonger folk with falsified, negative comments.

iMZDL have set up a dedicated Siri page for their proxy, which you can visit at the following address: http://twitter.com/sirizone

I won't post the link regarding the following info on here, as you should have access to it if you've signed up, but you can check the server status of both servers anytime online, check response time, load, and where the server is being used from the most.

On SiriZone, iMZDL have stressed that they do not record ANY personal data. The servers exist simply as paid for, to access Apple's Siri servers. Nothing more, nothing less. Simples, and enjoy. I sure am.

----------

Another piece of news as well, a third server will be launching soon to carry the load.

Though a small trade off.. Losing out on 80 MBs of ram upfront at boot and a bit slower to feel. But i guess that's what u get with so much. ;)

Just that I would be killing apps more
Often than before..

Hmmm ... I'm very much interested in getting this. But having second thoughts now as EvanLugh pointed out somethings ...

EDIT: checked the proxy and it IS https. I ordered on Safari on my phone and the ordering page was secure (padlock icon). Your loss.

iMZDL is NOT a phishing site. Look around their website and Twitter feed before scaremongering.

I've been using them for years for UDID registration to access iOS betas and get Mac OS X betas. They're a well known name, and not con men. There's two security certificates you need to install as profiles prior to entering the proxy address. Don't use your card not working as some red flag that it's a hoax either.

For starters the padlock is something they've could've added manually. Open up your bank and that, and see the difference. That was a bit odd for starters. Wether it's because they have no SSL, or an invalid certificate, I don't know.
The Siri proxy servers themselves are https. Not sure why you think im 'scaremongering' people, this is a forum, to post issues, ask for advice etc.

After an hour, my card(s) did work, after receiving an email from them they temporarily stopped payments and that was the error message. Not exactly my fault, and for anyone with sense it would 'red flag'. Not exactly falsifing information nor paranoid, perfectly reasonable responses.

Get off your high horse, this is a place for discussion.

In other news, it works very well.
I had to use the second server as the first was under high load, and I believe they're adding more soon (as per their twitter account). There's a slight noticeable difference between the 4S' and 4 Siri-it runs slightly slower (not the data sending/fetching, the time between recognising and/or parsing speech, but it's much better than I expected. IMHO worth getting if you want to try Siri, just make a note of their T&C's (basically no refunds, can shutdown at anytime etc etc, what you'd expect). The dictation is also great, about same speed as the 4S. Overall, seems a very good service.

so, things seem to be legit enough, but I just want to ask to make sure. Is this proxy honestly trustworthy and safe?

I'm not on any high horse, I just wasn't happy seeing someone come steaming in, tarring a trust worthy site with the same brush you would a phishing site. Have your questions, by all means, but put them across in a manner in which they're going to be answered and taken seriously. Yes, this is indeed a forum, but you're a forum Demi-God and you know fine well what this place can be like at the best of times. Genuine, helpful threads have to battle to be heard through the nonsense at the best of times, and I didn't want iMZDL being labelled as a phishing site. As I said they're a very well known name in the modding/beta/developer access scene.

As for your "anyone with sense" it would raise a red flag. If it raised a red flag, why try THREE cards? I could see you reaching for a second card, but a third? Anyway, regardless of this little spat, I raised your concerns with SiriZone earlier and got the following reply:

"Our main site is not https but all of our ordering pages are encrypted
for the users security"
. The page you enter your name, UDID, card number, and email address is encrypted as I said. Their proxy servers, as you see now you use them, are HTTPS and secure.

I don't think anyone here can honestly say yes, unless they're the sysadmin, however they have been around for a long time and have usually always had good reputation, I wouldn't think they'd risk it to be honest.

It's working great for almost everyone - if not everyone - but only you can make that decision. Personally, I don't mind if they started reading all my appointments

Edit: I don't feel the need to add to the reply above, but for the record, two of the cards were VCCs, where I can manage the amount and dispose of them instantly. I wouldn't think of using my physical cards.

anyone know there email address i paid yesterday and still havent got a email from them .i want to make sure i put in the correct email

EXACT thing that happened to me! I paid last night around 8PM EST and I still haven't gotten it at all. I asked them on twitter no response. What's going on here!?

i ve got siri on my iphone 4 from @ios4me and it works like an iphone 4 s but there is the thing with using a lot of ram and that it takes a while till u get bak the answer! is it fast from this site ?

I find the response time to be excellent.

hmm, interesting. Because, I assume, the proxy server is in the US, Siri won't let me search for locations or give me directions for things in Canada. That kinda sucks, but oh well, at least everything else works.

Is it because of the location of the proxy that this is happening?

@weegiemac did u do any comparison with a real siri on iphone 4s ? is it the same quick ?

@ coreymon itd bs it dont support directions yet i think, for sure in europe it dont work yet so it cant search any restaurant setc here anywere..

Even in the 4S it's U.S only I think

Edit malias: I did some quick tests. It's not as fast but as I said above it doesn't seem to be the data fetching, more like data processing. It's not quite comparable though, it's good enough

hmm, I would be very surprised if that was the case, that it is always US only.

However, if that is true, at least I have some hope. Doesn't Siri plug in to google maps though? I thought that's how that functionality worked.

It's a second or two behind at worst I was in the Apple Store and connected to their WiFi and when using the my 4 and a 4S, there wasn't much to call between them. The only time I've found a delay in getting a reply is in my office, where I drop to one bar on 3G for reception.

-Siri is still in BETA
- I have a 4S, it IS the case

Ive run Redsnow 0.9.10b4 over the b3 jailbreak I had previously installed but still have issues with apps not opening...anyone got any ideas?

Can anybody tell me about the response times when using this service from Europe? Is it a problem that the servers are located so far away?
