Okay, I got the notification from Apple that the phone is ready for pick up, and the rep called me personally from the store which was great. Pretty best case scenario for something out of their control IMHO.
 
I am in the same boat, got the email last night with the delay message. I am going to try anyways. It's only a 20 mile trip each way and worth a try. How sad...My pick up window is 6-6:30 so maybe it will come by then.

This is what I am hoping that it will be sorted out by our 730-8 slot.
 
In the same boat..sorta. My mother and I both preordered 11 Pro Maxes, and she got the dreaded email this morning, but my phone already got the ready to pick up email. Gonna suck if we go together and I come out with a phone and she doesn't. We have a 7-7:30 pickup time, so i don't have much hope at this point.
 
I was hoping this too but can't go in until after work for 730-8p. Don't see there being anymore green by then.

We don't have any tracking because we are in store pickup. Only the W order. I am PA so I don't know why they would have to go through TX.

My watch for pick up was not available this morning, but while I was still at the mall I got an e-mail that it was available for pick up. Hopefully your phone will come in today.

Hoping something like that happens by 730 too.
 
I’m in the same boat. I didn’t see my email this morning and had an 8a pickup window. My Apple Store app told me to check in at normal time, so I got up early and went. It’s nearing 6p my time, and still no phone. I ordered two minutes after the ordering window opened.
 
A different store got a huge shipment of iPhone Pros and I was able to get the Midnight Green one that I wanted. Had to cancel my "reserved" phone.
 
Okay. So. I have some cool information.

So first let’s start off with that i have ordered , and canceled about 3 orders today from apple for instore pickup. All getting the same delays as everyone here. Now in the mist of canceling my last order that i placed this morning my att account when into some type of limbo mode where it looks like i currently have the 11 pro max. Weird situation. best part is, when i went to att to get the 11 in green they brought it out and everything , but told me i need to contact support. Hopefully this is fixed tomorrow.

COOL INFO: My good friends works at company that specifically does logistics for apple, they have to fill out one piece of paper/ bill of lading per 500 iphones. Thursday and Friday the company got slammed and became backed up on papers they couldn’t process (roughly 800 papers, roughly 400k iphones) I believe the issue we all received here today is due to that. If the company doesn’t sign off on the bill of ladings the port holds the shipments, truckers, containers etc.

For those of you waiting, check online if your nearest apple store has stock today. I was one of the many who pre ordered for apple store pickup that was delayed at a store 1-1/2 hours drive because there was no stock at all at the numerous stores near me ( I live in NYC ). Still no email from apple this morning as to when my mg 11 pro will be ready so i looked at the apple app and found that ALL the apple stores in my area have lots of stock today! I Reordered for pickup today and cancelled my first order.

I received same email for MG 64GB iPhone 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 5 in Pittsburgh, PA at South Hills mall. They said 1-2 days on the email but I was able to get a rep that told me that the item is waiting to ship but is in PA, so Im not sure what to make of that. Also had another rep tell me today it will be Monday. Was scheduled to pick up at noon
 
I ordered online this morning for pickup this afternoon. My appointment is soon and I haven't gotten an email that it's ready yet. Does this mean I probably won't get it today?
 
Stopped by today and they still haven't gotten my phone in. Check on-line availability and there's nothing in the 12 closest stores. Will continue to wait...
 
So I went last night anyways, even though I got the email that is was delayed. When I got there I was told that a large shipment didn't come in and the phone I ordered was not in yet. There was a line of people getting phones that didn't pre order. I cancelled my pre order and just bought one in stock. I didn't even have to wait in line since I had preordered and she felt bad about my phone not being there. That was the good news. Sadly, the Apple rep that set me up was ...well maybe new or temp. He did his best but finally ended up having his manager come and help him. Anyways, all is well that ends well. Did anyone else go anyways and get a phone?

When I went Friday, they didn't have any left other than pre orders. Found a 256GB SIM Free Midnight Green online in King of Prussia and got it. Still no email about my original order being available. Will it be cancelable again once it is available, or do I have to cancel it with Apple then?

I called this morning and cancelled it through Apple. It was quick and easy.

Everyone I talked to said they should be in by the end of the weekend.
