In-Store Pickup Orders

    So almost everyone here who is commenting on the status of their orders are talking about orders being shipped, but we need a thread for the status of in-store pickup orders.

    I'm curious because I still only have an "order placed" on the app and no charge on my debit card yet for the T-Mobile model I payed upfront for.

    If you chose in-store pick up. Could you please share:
    Which carrier you chose
    If you payed upfront or did iUP
    The status of your order
    And if your debit/credit card has been charged?

    I'm guessing it won't be charged until the phone actually gets shipped to the store? Or do I not get charged until I go pick it up?

    Just wanna clearer picture on other people's in-store pick ups before I decide I need to make some calls.

    I actually did the same thing. I paid full price on AT&T. I used Apple Pay. My debit card has not been charged yet. My order is showing "Order in Progress". I have it set for in-store pickup between 8-830am.

    I haven't received ANY emails from Apple. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

    Did you receive the order confirmation from Apple right after? I received that email but nothing since. No charge yet.

    Carrier: Verizon
    Payment: Pay in full
    Status: Got confirmation email right when I placed order. Order in Progress for 11/3 pickup, have reservation window.
    Credit card: no pending charges yet

    I do have a question if anyone happens to know the answer please comment. I totally forgot I have a doctor appointment on the morning of 11/3. I stopped by the Apple Store and they said I'd have to call support to see if I can get the pick up window changed but the woman was not optimistic. If I miss my reservation am I toast and forfeit my order? Or will they hold the phone for me for later in the day?

    Nope! Not even an order confirmation.

    But my order status page says "Order in Progress"

    I think as long as you have an order number from Apple, you should be good.

    Based on past experience you’re unlikely to see any change in your status until Thursday afternoon/evening (source: personally picked up on launch day in store for the past 2 years). It can be a lonely place watching all these delivery statuses changing. Rest assured your order is secure

    Received “We’re processing your order” email from Apple at 4:46am EST, and “Loan Approved” email from Citizens One Loan at 5:57am EST.

    I’m set for Apple in-store pickup between 3-3:30pm on November 3.

    Forgive my newbie status as I am mostly a lurker(long time lurker), but I have gone the store pick up route every time.

    Apple Store App for iPhone - ATT - Paid in Full. Had the configuration saved in favorites and ready to go, Apple Pay and back to sleep at 3:06 a.m. EASTERN TIME.

    Going this route will leave your status as "Order in Progress" until pick up day when the Status will change to "Ready for pickup". As long as that order number is there and there are no carrier or upgrade plan issues(if you didn't pay in full), you should be golden.

    I ordered one for full price with pickup at a store 2.5 hours away. I have a reservation for delivery on my iPhone Upgrade Program phone that is not due to deliver until december.

    Will I be able to swap the one I have for pick up to my iPhone Upgrade Plan? I don't want to drive the 2.5 hours to find out thats not possible.

    That's reassuring. It absolutely feels lonely watching everyone else's statuses change and not knowing if it's normal for yours to stay the same haha. Thanks.

    It's weird because it seems like some people are stuck in "order placed" and some have "order in progress". But I did get that same email that says "We're processing your order" Glad to see no one else is seeing any charges yet either. I guess I'm a little worried because the billing address on the debit card I used is pretty new. Wanna make sure the charge goes through.

    Payment: Two year upgrade, $549 plus tax paid in full
    Order Status: "Order Placed Check-in window: November 3, between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m."
    Credit Card: Saw a $1 hold then the charge dropped.. Which I know is normal

    You paid for the phone!! Don't know how they can take it and sell it. Last year they did reservations but the phones were not paid for and you had no guarantee if missed. This pick up reservation is to help manage traffic.

    My experience is the same as everyone else. AT&T 256 Grey, ordered 3:07 AM for local pickup on 11/3, apple pay, paid in full, shows a "$0" authorization against CC.

    Apple app shows "order in progress" telling me to check in on Nov 3

    I had a similar problem when I picked up my Series 3 Watch, they said they would accommodate me but that I might have a longer wait. I know normal pickup items they hold for 2 weeks before canceling, but I don’t know if the X will be special... No promises, but I think you’re ok if you go in that day

    Thought you pay and then pick up. Last year they did reservations and paid when picked up. Stopped doing that.

    Got my doctor appointment switched to 1 PM, lol. Nothing is getting in the way of my 8:30 iPhone reservation dammit! I did some reading and some people have commented that Apple will generally give you a 3 hour grace period. Moot issue now, luckily.

    Was was going to ship to my home but saw in store on November 3 and grabbed it.. I got through tat 12:04 on the Apple Store app.


    Which carrier you chose: AT&T
    If you payed upfront or did iUP: Paid in Full
    The status of your order: Order in progress
    And if your debit/credit card has been charged? Charged the full amount

    I hope I can use the apple gift card I have an get credit for my 6s plus when I go to pick it up.

    For In-Store Pick Up, your card isn't charged until you pick up the phone at the Apple Store, correct?

    Both ordered by 3:07AM

    For in store pick up. Got confirmation emails instantly. Paid using credit card in Apple Pay, not charged yet.

    Will pickup both from an Apple store a few minutes away from home on 11/3
