I'm not sure if the Walnut St. store has one. That store is much closer to you though, walking distance from Penn, so check that out first. If you have to go to the KOP store, just catch the bus, number 125. It runs from Center City to the mall.

By the way is the KOP is way far away ? i hope you can explain me a little bit about how really far'teh approx cost of taxi etc :))

It's about a 25 to 30 minute drive with no traffic, but there's always traffic so you're looking at 45 minutes, ime. I wouldn't recommend a taxi at all.

Got my new macbook pro Retina Display from New Haven :p If you are living in New York I would definetely recommend you to go there.Wonderful staff, receives products everyday ( I called them yesterday they didnt have any but today they had) High one was always available,If you go there at 10:30-11:00 your chances are high that you can get a base model (It was out of stock at 13:00 altough the high model was still there )

It was my first Apple Store experience with unforgettable memories. The staff, the way they bring my macbook like a baby and applauses of everyone while leaving the store with student discount*(for those who may not know: I am a pre-college student and they said to me that I am not eligible for any discounts but suprisingly when I went there no debates, just show my id and the 200 dollar discount was waiting for me )

I dont know the other stores at all but that store was AMAZING !!!

Is this thread dead due to the fact the stores have plenty in them now?

Nope its dead because the initial excitement is over.

More stores ARE getting them ... but the apple stores around me are still out of stock. You'll have better luck at Best Buy.

How's the stock for the base model looking at the NYC Apple stores? I'm probably going to pick one up somewhere next week.
