Wow! I love the fit. It's extremely sturdy and feels really solid. I was going to get a smart cover but at the last second saw this. I would rather it be protected all the way around. It's definitely thinner than the previous one and you can tell right away. I love this case!

Just picked one up, so far really like it. This thing is SOLID, feels great and high quality too. iPad slides right in, theres a 3" wide piece with velcro that secures it in - I've been shaking it hard, and it doesn't slide around a bit! The backside where the iPad 2 slides in is a soft material and the sides have lots of open areas, so dirt and crap getting behind the iPad 2 shouldnt be much of an issue. Lastly, the strap is nice - you can use it to keep the cover closed, or when you flip it open it will secure it on the backside so it isnt flapping around. Also can be used when reading.

For $40, this is a steal. MUCH better than the Griffin Elan Folio I had. Only wish would be for a Smart Cover magnet! (doesnt seem to have it)

Two left at Westminster, CA Best Buy. None at Costa Mesa.

Just picked this up at the Geary location here in Sf,ca. They had 4 left if anyone is interested. On the incase website this case is listed at 59.99 plus shipping and handling - easily 80$ out the door so I was happy to see 39.99$ when it rang up on the register. The only thing critique that I have is there are no magnets to utilize the sleep/wake feature. Build quality is nothing short of great as is the case for all my experience with incase products! :)

I just picked this up in Raleigh,nc. Decent case, not "slim" but I like the 3 different angles that it can stand in in the case.

The Velcro deffinitely keeps is from moving around for sure. If you ever dropped it perfectly on the corner edge, you'd probably chip the iPad but that's a risk with most cases.

My best buy had about 4-5 of them.

Used the 12% off code oon my phone. ~$38 out the door.

I think the case will suffice until there is a "slim smart cover" sleeve type case with back protection.

Thanks for the heads up in here for the coupon code and this case. I saw a bunch of these at Best Buy in Upstate NY so I picked one up. It's a little bulkier than what I typically get but I have to say it's very nicely made and works extremely well in landscape. Horizontal standing up is just ok but I don't use it in horizontal standing that often.

I returned my Smart Cover last week and have just relied on the matte skin I have applied on the back.

My 4 year old daughter watches cartoons on this thing so I need protection! :)

Incase iPad 2 book jacket

I too stopped by the Best Buy, in Hunt Valley, MD, and saw the Incase Book Jacket for the iPad 2. There was no price label on the shelf or box. I requested a price check from staff and he said it was $59, I decided to purchase it and was surprised at check out that it scanned at $39. Who knew?

When I called they told me 59.99, the original version is 59.99 still there. 39.99 for an Incase product like this is kind of surprising. They tend to price their stuff high.

Got mine 10 mins ago at our local Rochester, MN BB store. $39.99 minus 12% off. Sweet deal - thanks folks!

Got one tonight! I got mine at the Best Buy in Duluth, GA. They had 3. I had called ahead and they held one. Didn't go to customer service since they had 2 on the shelf and there was a long line. So one may be at customer service if anyone goes. Used the 12% off coupon which was nice.

So far I like it. Kind of wish it angled a little more when laying it flat down. But for the most part it works.

I almost thought this would have been my perfect case until I realized the iPad's edges are exposed. (need an case that will protect it as much as the original ipad 1 case did).

just picked this up at my local bestbuy (harvey, la)...was sitting around after ordering my portenzo notebook and realized that I'd probably have to wait another 3-4 weeks of waiting with a naked iPad. Knowing I still have school for another 5 weeks I figured i should get a case until my portenzo comes in. Went to bestbuy and saw that there were 2 sitting under the iPad 2 displays and were labelled 39.99. Scooped one up and i'm not regretting it at all.. this is a really nice case and would probably warrant the normal 59.99 price that incase would usually charge.

Damn you guys beat me to it! I just got mine from Best Buy, last one they had. Dude was looking all around the store trying to find it. When he got it out of the back the box was super dusty and already opened but the case was flawless. It adds bulk to the iPad, but it feels perfect. It feels like your holding a solid book in your hand. The case smells like car interior (which is good lol) and is VERY high quality.

It's great a lot of people were able to pick this up since my initial post. Apple is really pushing their smart covers that I personally don't care for either. If you're the type that has to have "official Apple everything" then I'm sure you already have one or more smart covers. If you don't and were sitting around waiting for something decent to release, then the wait is over- it was a couple weeks too long. My kids are finally able to enjoy the device without me standing over them. :)

That's the one thing that's keeping me from swapping my Cygnett Lavish for the Book Jacket -- although open on the edges, the Cygnett case extends significantly beyond the edges of the iPad 2 and would pretty effectively protect the iPad from drops on its edge.

I'm not a shill for Cygnett, either...just trying to give folks a second option if they can't get their hands on the Incase jacket.

I wonder if they'll make a regular book jacket. I remember the first iPad they had 2 versions, a regular book jacket and a convrtable book jacket. I'd much rather have a regular one.
