eh, the edges of the iPad don't stick out from this case at all, there is enough padding to protect them in the event of a fall. The back and front cover extend beyond the iPad, at no point on any edge does the iPad make contact with any surface.

Does anyone else with the case feel like with the strap around it that its putting pressure on the screen? Or is it just me?

Just you. The leather is pretty solid and the screen itself is very durable as well. No need to worry.

I can't get over how almost perfect this case is. Is so incredibly sturdy and like someone else said it's solid like a text book. I also think it's thinner than most people think, especially compared to the one they made for the original iPad (which I had also). I love this case.

After my near iPad disaster last night I ran out first thing this morning and bought this case from my local best buy.

This case is top notch, doesn't feel cheap at all and really protects your iPad.

Finally found a BB that has one. Manager agreed to hold onto it until tomorrow so I can go grab it. Won't get the 12% off for RZ (ends today), but $39.99 is still a deal.

Just picked one up today at the La Mesa Best Buy (San Diego). They had a little stack of them underneath the iPad 2 display. This was my second attempt since the Mission Valley location didn't have any.

BEAUTIFUL case. Snug fit. Glad they blacked out the Incase logos (my sister has the previous version with white logos). All around professional look.

Used the 12% off coupon with no problems... I guess you're supposed to be a Silver Rewards member since the cashier was trying to look up my info. She gave it to me anyways. :)

$38.53 out the door... compared to Incase's $59.95 + tax/shipping. Can you say STEAL?

This is a great case and the price is very resonable. For $40 you are getting an awesome case.

Makes you and your iPad look very classy and ready for the business world.

is the ipad 'strapped in' on this one- on the side you slide the ipad in? i had a problem with the original - it was more comfortable for me to have the ipad positioned where it was upside down, and then would slide out a bit. wondering if they added a velcro strap or anything better..

Yes, there is a velcro tab that holds the iPad 2 in the case.

Picked up this case over the weekend... great case, feels solid and definitely protects the iPad, but when trying to use the first 'notch' to stand the iPad up in a typing position, it's horrible... It barely stays in the notch even if I'm not touching it, it constantly falls down from the weight of the iPad.

It falls down a lot in the second 'notch' too, the only sturdy 'notch' is the third one. If it wasn't for this, I would absolutely love this case... in the meantime I'll be hunting for a case more similar to the original Apple Case.

Just dropped in the incase

i just dropped my iPad on a wood floor from 4 feet!!!! The incase totally protected it on the sides. This case is a keeper.:):):)

Yeah same for me. I wonder if theres some simple mod to make this less of a problem? Maybe add some kind of black tape or something to give it more grip. I really want to keep this case.

I noticed this as well. I think this has to do with how 'flat' the notched part of the case is. What I did was bend the notched portion so it would be a bit more convex, which seemed to help.

Just picked one up at my bestbuy. This case is really nice... so much better than the temporary Griffin folio I had. Only problem is, I need another one for my wife's iPad. They only had one in stock, but the guy said they may get more tomorrow.

My only complaint about this case is that the third viewing position is kind of useless. The iPad slips out of it very easily, but the other 2 viewing positions seem solid.

I'm not sure how I like the 'working' position yet. I need a full night on the couch to test it out.

Side note: iOS 4.3.1, yay!!! Maybe my iphone will last more than 8 hours now.

Edit:: I see others with the same issue of the viewing angles. Like I said tho, i need a night on the couch to test it out. The tallest viewing position is good for me while it's sitting on a desk or something, but the couch test is more important!

If you really need all of those positions I'm sure it wouldn't take much to buy some material and do something similar to this. Just glue it down.

Personally I really only need the third, I don't think any of those notches are meant for typing and I don't have an issue with it falling on it's own, only if I push on it in the last notch.

I was bored at work so I tested a strip of this velcro strap stuff we have. It's very soft on one side and can be adhered on the other. Just using two small pieces of scotch tape held it in place and the thing didn't budge with a good amount of pressure.

Should you need to do this? Not really, but it's easy enough and cheap if you really need all 3 notches and want to keep this excellent case.

The strips are very soft, barely make contact with the screen and don't affect the way the book closes at all. I'm sure you could find something that looks a bit more professional if you really wanted to get into it. Any craft store probably even has strips of leather or pleather. :)

Just got back from BB, I LOVE this case! Salt Lakers, the 2100 S location has 4 of these left. They are on a stand in the center aisle near the back by the apple display. They are marked with an incorrect sku for $49.99, like everyone else though it rang up at $39.99.

So glad the indecision is over. I've been toiling over choices, really like the portenzo, but don't want to wait a month. Also almost bought a yooboa, but I am glad I went with the incase for the stand and the fact the yoobao appears to offer little drop protection (it's so thin!).
