Incase magazine jacket for iPad 2 - No magnet.

Was so ready to buy this case but they didn't seem to really change anything at all and it looks like half the speakers are blocked.

$64.73 shipped to CA. I think I'll wait for a local store to get them in stock.

Incase is sending me one today, I think it looks nice even without the magnet. I'll probably mod this just like I did the Book Jacket for iPad 2. They should have put one in though.

I've actually found the speakers sound better when covered up a bit to project forward, try it with your hand.

Yeah, but I'm not sure that's what this case is really doing? I think they just wanted more protection.

Yeah it probably wasn't, just something I noticed while messing with mine. Not sure about coupons.
 
The sleep/wake magnet feature is not a big concern for me. I just really wished they would have changed the back design... those two large blocks on the back are silly.

Yeah I had this case for my iPad 1 and it was great except for that part.

I cut a small hole and glued in a small magnet where it needed to be to activate the screen lock. Very easy to do. In the video you can kind of see that little black circle (about 13 seconds in) That's my magnet.

I added those strips for better stability in horizontal stand mode:

The first highest notch is fine, the lower two tend to allow the ipad to slip a bit if you touch the screen or move it much. Now they are very stable. Still a nice case even without mods for 40 beans, not perfect though.

What are those blocks on the back of the Magazine Jacket? Just part of the stand feature? That is my only concern about this case too, looks like they may be annoying. Did they get in the way often?

How is the stand going to stand up if there aren't those two blocks? Apple's Smart Cover uses loads of magnets to keep the trangular shape from collapsing :) But IMO it really makes the iPad very thick.
 
Anyone know how long does it usually take for Apple to have new Incase products online? (as in their online store) I am kind of surprised that nobody have gotten this case yet.

Why are you surprised it just came out on the 31st, online only so far. I should have mine next week and plan to post a review.
 
I just picked one up at best buy

I walked into best buy just to see what cases they had and they happened to have one of these left. I have been using it at work for about and hour or so and I like it. Feels good to have something on the back side of my ipad. I'm concerned with the elastic band they have to help keep the cover closed. If it loses it's elasticity I will be pretty pissed. Ill try to take pic and post them later as well as answer any questions you guys might have.

Hopefully those who had the first magazine jacket can comment on the elasticity. Looking forward to those pictures :)
 
I think the sku number is 2319063, but when I check it on bestbuy.com nothing shows up. Sorry. This case does show finger prints and smears. Other than that no issues so far

That looks nice, a lot thinner than my book jacket. I can't wait to try it out. Can you take pictures of the back?

On the website it shows some kind of handles or something?
