I've used this case for a couple of weeks now and really like it. It's very light and thin, fits the iPad perfectly and does not get in the way. I even like the front cover now; while it doesn't feel as solid as the Smartcover, it is also stiffer and doesn't flop around when folded back. The angles when used as a stand are perfect & stable. The only downside I can think of is that the upper and lower edges of the iPad are exposed, but since the corners protrude a bit, it seems unlikely that something will damage them. Overall still the best case I have seen for the iPad 2.

I thought you guys should know, just in case it has not been mentioned, that the Apple magnetic cover works perfectly with this case if you file off 1/16th of an inch of plastic off of the case (where the old cover hinges in) so that the apple cover snaps in. And tear off the non-magnetic cover.

In addition you have full Apple cover functionality. Magnetic pop in, pop out.

I love it when a plan comes together.

I thought of the samething but realized that was too much money to spend...$50 for the Incase Jacket + $40 for the smart cover.

To each their own though. I know how hard it can be to get the case you want.

I agree. But I figured that I spent $900 for an iPad. Might as well dress it properly. Plus unlike other cases including leather which warps I think this one should last for years and recoupe its value.

Interesting that you filed it. I thought I could get away with just adding some length to the gap in plastic on the Incase, but like you said it needed to go back further.

What kind of annoyed me about thinking of doing that was having those 2 bars on the back be useless. The Smart Cover didn't even reach them to prop as a stand. It would work, but not need those bars. So they are just sort of....there...

Can you post a pic:?

Very dissapointed to see the lack of magnets on this thing.

Likewise...was in Best Buy today and almost picked one up...glad I didn't...didn't even think to look for Smart Cover functionality.

Still using my InCase iPad 1 case on the 2 while I wait to hear from Portenzo or go another route for a premium case.

FYI

The bars actually work if you fold the cover like a backwards "p" for a 35 degree lean. The triangle cover fold works also for the upright. Thou it stands almost vertical. I would guess 75 to 80 degrees.

There is a new carbon cover with a magnetic cover but I think Ill stiick with my removable smart cover for now.

I've owned this case for a few days now and I love it. Doesn't cover the bezel, VERY slim which is what I was going for, and I'm not bothered by the top/bottom being exposed/no magnet functionality. I own a incase case for my MBP as well. Can't say enough good things about this case and the company. Definitely worth it

The edge of the cover flap started to separate after a couple of weeks. I sent it back to Incase for warranty coverage last week, and I'm still waiting to hear back or receive the replacement Magazine Jacket.
