Not wobbly at all, it's very sturdy in all modes.

I added a small magnet

Works well, not sure I want to look at that though. ;)

Alright then mind made up lol now time to find a discount if any and order my iPad should be here the 29th of April. Thanks alot

Thanks for the impressions and photos. Man I am so jealous of you guys in the US who can get this case now.

Another aspect of this case I really like are the two handles give you something to grab when you hold it by the side. Big plus for carrying it.

Best buy got some in stock in my area...but they're going fast. Clerk on the phone nearest the office said they had one left, and I snagged it.

Only thing i don't like about the case is the flimsy, non-magnetized plastic front cover. Say what you will about the smart cover, this felt cheap in comparison.

Went to office depot and got some thin magnets with adhesive used to affix photographs (Remember those? We all used to take them a few years back...) to the refrigerator. Smart cover capacity, but meh....

The flimsy front cover is held to the back black shell by adhesive. It can be detached with a little effort, and looks like it would work perfectly with a smart cover. Doesn't cover up the bezel at all.

I'm still on the fence about it. I've got a back shell due to arrive from flea bay on Monday, may wait until then to compare the shells.

This is probably the best case out there!! I'm gonna head out to best buy later :D

Compared to the Smart Cover it does seem flimsy, but I think as a whole the case is fine and the cover does it's job while keeping a very thin profile. Functionality wise this thing is much better than the Smart Cover.

Did you actually add a magnet? I'm confused if you did or not, also can you post a link to the magnet you are describing maybe?

Thanks

Yes, 'make a magnet' sheets for securing photos to a metal place.

This case came out just in time near the end of the return period for the Griffin case I bought on launch day. I like it so far. The simple black design suits the iPad well, and the middle viewing angle looks perfect for airplane tray tables. The front cover feels a bit flimsy, but the case is really solid when used as a stand. The two short edges of the iPad are not covered, but the corners are. Using the rubber band is a bit cumbersome, but I don't expect to use it often. Overall a solid case and the best I have seen so far for the iPad 2.

There's a little part of me tempted to try this.

Picked this up about 20 minutes ago as I LOVED this case for my iPad 1. I must say, I think they did a fantastic job adapting this for the iPad 2. Aside from all the obvious new cut-outs and such, overall they really improved upon an already great product. While it doesn't have the sleep/wake function... I personally dont see this as a big deal and it certainly doesn't take away from the case. So yeah...great build quality, keeps the iPad 2 looking sexy with its low profile form factor and adds the viewing positions we know and love. Glad to see Incase bring this style back ASAP for the iPad 2 :D

If I don't like my flea-bay case, I may as well.

In the meanwhile, I think I'm going to secure a magnet strip along the outside of the case to see if that makes it feel like its closed a bit more solidly.

Not a bad lookin' case. Daughter and nephew thinks it looks sharper than the naked look with black smart cover.

In case (har har) you all are looking for it, it's now on Best Buy's site, and you can search for stock at local stores... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Incase+...52&skuId=2319063&st=incase magazine&cp=1&lp=1

I picked mine up today. I like how it maintains the slimness of the iPad 2, but I really wish the cover could act as a Smart Cover. I imagine that might be in Incase's pipeline...(and would ideally come out during the 30-day Best Buy return window ;)).

Thanks for the pic, I'll probably do that. Doesn't look too bad.

The Smart Cover combined with this back would be really nice. I'd like the ability to take the cover off when I don't want to use it. Not a big deal if it doesn't work but it sure seems like it would. It looks like there is enough room for the magnets, I just wonder about the piece folding up enough to hit the braces on the back. They look really similar though.

Which case are you waiting on?

I've been following this thread for a day or two now and picked up Incase Magazine jacket from Best Buy today. Then I found this old magnetic poetry kit in my drawer and used hole punch to create a little dot of a magnet. Voila! :) Works surprisingly well and barely noticeable.

Friend of mine, high school drama teacher, has the same kit on her fridge. Like to arrange the words into suggestive phrases for my own amusement if she turns her back on me.

Genius solution, that would work on the photo fridge strips as well to keep the magnetized part as small as possible. The photo strips can be cut with scissors or even torn by hand.

But I think I'm going to cut a strip of tape and attach it along the whole outside of the case to see if the upgraded cover secures to the ipad more securely.

And I'll be comparing the back of this to my smart cover compatible flea-bay shell which should be arriving by today or Monday.

Some other small observations about the case:

1. Love the small, thin, sleek form factor. Doesn't bulk the 2 up like some other cases do, and the strap and two bumps on the back made it easier to carry and tote.

2. The bottom of the ipad is completely exposed. Some may be turned off by this (Oh noes! Water can get to the bottom of my pad if I goes swimmin!) but it doesn't inhibit my monster car charger/FM transmitter attaching like some other cases do.

3. Maybe it's due to the magnetized tape being larger and resting directly on the top of the surface of the ipad, but it seems to be more efficient at turning it on and off than even the smart cover.

I'm starting to like this case the more I use it.

Tried mag tape along the end of the case..not strong enough to hold it down. Shell case didn't come in the mail today either. Oh well, cancel Christmas...

lol

Hey I picked up a Smart Cover today, no go. Well, unless you feel like cutting a little plastic off the Incase shell. It would be easy, just not something I'm up for. The Smart Cover is a little longer than the notched section of the shell, so you would have to take just a little plastic off so it fit in there. Also the bars on the back of the shell would become useless as it doesn't reach them when folded back into a triangle for a stand. It could possibly use the second bar but I had no way of telling since I couldn't really get it on there right anyway without modding. Now I have to return a smart cover, joy.

Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us....

haha No prob. I'm trying to get out to return it before I get tempted to cut that little notch.

Cutting the flap off the Incase would be a breeze, just take a razor blade down the edge. Even the handles are just glued on but that may leave behind a bit of a mess. They are still good for grip though so not all would be lost on those.

I just am wondering how neatly I could cut the notch of plastic, if a razor blade would be strong enough. I love the idea of this case with a removable cover.
