I went to the Apple store 2 days ago to purchase an Incase Slider for my black 32GB 3GS. I picked out a black one and when I went to pay for it the woman working asked if this Slider was for a 3G or 3GS. I said 3GS and she suggested a Slider from a different sales rack, but still black in color, said it would fit better. I didn't pay too much attention when it happened, but now wish I would have so I could report to you guys why she did this. My new Slider fits like a glove, maybe Apple knows about this issue?

That is interesting. I had the white slider on my 3G for a while but quit using it because of the bulk. It fit very well but did allow dirt and other particles to get between the case and phone thus scratching the bezel. (I had my phone replaced due to cracks in the plastic housing; the girl at the Apple store suggested the slider caused cracks on my phone; the apple genius disagreed with her..)

My friend has a maroonish color slider on his 3G and it doesnt seem to fit as tight as mine fit in the white slider. Maybe different colors yield different fits..?

My incase slider is generating so much static/lint with my 3G-s. If i have the slider on, and put my phone in my jeans pocket a collection of static/lint is visible near edges of the iphone glass, where the case covers. I don't remember this happening with my 3g and the incase slider.

Another way to reproduce this is to wipe it on my pant leg and after 3-4 seconds looking at the phone it is a lint magnet. If I take off the case, I barely see it, and it doesnt collect as much (and is much easier to brush off). With the slider i'm worried that it will collect more than without the case.

Anyone else seeing this? Is there a better solution? I'm considering just going naked without a case because of this issue.

Couple huge negatives against the InCase Metallic series is that it gets too slippery. Your fingers grease sticks very easily, therefore you have to continuously have to wipe the case down to keep it "slick free". Second it's the static it creates as already mentioned by prev poster.

I switched back to my Griffin New case, zero slippery = great grip.

Got a white incase for my 32gb 3gs. It fits perfect. Not too tight and closes all the way.

It is smooth so slippery to a point but not to where you would drop it IMO

i have a black one which saved me BIG time on a nasty drop the other day!!! The only issue I'm having is getting a screen protector to fit with the case on. I've gone through 3 screen protectors trying to trim them to fit without bubbling when I slide the case on. Any tips or tricks???

I agree with the metallic series being slippery, but I had a matte slider before, and the matte/rubbery texture started chipping off within a week! I returned it for a metallic case which is much better. I don't experience any static, so I can't comment on that.

Bought an Incase Slider and tried to put it on a new 3GS. Luckily I had an invisible shield on, because it left a giant mark on the shield while trying to get the stupid thing off. Back it goes tomorrow

After going through six different cases for my 32gb black 3GS, I think I've finally settled on the InCase black matte slider I got yesterday. It had just come in with a new shipment about 15 minutes before I got there; I had to specifically ask the salesman to check in the back for it. Sure enough, it fits like a glove. Closes all the way without an issue, and it's not overly tight. Maybe they've made subtle modifications in recent shipments?

I'm thinking a screen protector will help me keep off all the dust/list from my pockets. Since it gets under the incase slider so easily, I'm hoping a screen protector will eliminate this.

Does anyone have experience with screne protectors with the slider installed? What is the easiest screen protector to install?

I'm leaning toward the power support anti-glare.

the anti-glare is the easiest to apply. i've used both crystal and anti-glare and the anti-glare just glides on perfectly

no problems using the anti-glare with the incase slider...well i havent had any problems with the 4 sliders i've used :D

I was going to get a Case-Mate Barely There or the Feather or something along those lines, but once I saw the Incase Slider, it was an easy decision. Nice and clean look and the fit is perfect on mine. Actually like the added size vs. a thin shell.

I bought a grey incase slider with my black 32gb 3gs and, indeed, the bottom is way tighter than ibfeel it should be. I hope I can still take it back because I'm scared of damaging my precious iPhone :D

I was using a white slider, but switched today to the Fluro Slider. Problem is, it won't come off. I've never had this trouble with the other sliders, and I'm not really sure what to do. Any suggestions?
