I got my white one in today. I can confirm that you cannot put it on over a full bodyguardz (just the front)

As before, this is the best made case I've seen yet, I just love it! The fit is great and its almost like it isn't even on. (and no, I don't work for them  :p)

Enjoy!

Im having a hard time deciding between the matte black and gloss white for when I get my white 3G.

Has anyone tried the black one on their white iphone yet? Does the gap at the bottom make it look strange?

I bet the matte black is less scratch prone so I might get that... But Im worried that might attract lint, etc. And what screen protector is the best? Sorry, Im a noob with these heh.

I love my white one for my iPhone 2G. They had the glossy black in for mine and I was tempted to buy it.

The matte black does not attract lint at all, it's very smooth and is less likely to get scratches than a glossy case, it would take a good hit or scrape to scratch this case. To those who have the black matte, look at it in the sunlight, it has a really cool look to it. Hard to describe, kind of fuzzy or sparkly? Maybe it was just the lighting but in my car today it looked really cool in the sunlight.

This case rocks though, easily the smallest profile of any case I have used and has a great feel. I prefer this case over the Griffin Elan Form and Griffin Wave I had prior.

I did however have to remove (yet again) my back best skin ever, it was close and you COULD shove it up there(I got mine 1/4 of the way before it started to fight me), but it would be a total nightmare to remove the phone. You would possibly have to break the case in order to remove the phone. Just because it went in, doesn't mean it's coming out.

That is the third BSE I have had on the back, I am literally a Jedi Master at putting those on now.

;)

ok so...i think these cases are defective. I was at my local apple store today, and the gentleman next to me decided to slip on a slider case to his 3g. He slipped it on, and by god that thing did not come off. I think they ended up breaking the case just to free his phone. I though to myself, well, maybe he put it in wrong...wow. I bought one, and guess what, mine wont come out either. in trying to get it out, the small plastic bar that goes above the volume buttons just snapped. Will be returning tomorrow.

I just tested mine and it slid out no problems.

Is it the white one by any chance? One of the employees at the Apple Store said he had to heat it up to remove it. Then the other guy with the black one showed him how he could slide it out no problems. I have NO idea what he did to heat it up, it sounded odd.

yah..its a white one. I tried the black and that one was perfectly fine. But since ive got a 16 white...had to choose white. lol. Ill try heating it up or something. not sure.

I posted this on a different thread:
I bought the black one (only option at NYC-SoHo store). I have a white one (glossy) on the way which I ordered because I have the white iphone. The matte finish on the black is a little to get used to and there is one tiny imperfection on the top (barely noticeable- I'm just being anal). Overall, it's great. I'm very happy with this. I'll probably return the white when it arrives unless it's better then the black (I doubt it).
**Now that you guys say there's a fit issue with the white, I may not even try it on and just return it, since I'm happy with the black.

I gotta say, for a hard case, it hardly adds any size. Not to mention it really preserves the feeling of the curves and lines of the 3g design.

One thing to note, when I first pushed it in to the top part it created some air under my Power Anti-Glare film. I think this happened because the film wasn't on totally straight. I messed around with the film and screwed it up. I wound up using the 2nd film from the 2-pack I had making sure to put it on very straight and put the slider back on....PERFECT!

BTW, the slider won't work with any of the skins (IS, Ghost Armor, etc). I took the Ghost Armor off the back and now I have the Black Slider and Anti-Glare film on the front. Seems like a great combo. I'll post my thoughts about the white when it arrives (if I even try it based on what you're saying about fit). I'm happy to post pics of the white phone in this black matte case if anyone wants....

so i got my phone out, and im talking pictures of what cracked (those to come later) and i think the problem lies with the two strips of rubber that run along the interior of the case. (for the white case) the are obviously either placed wrong or are too thick. not sure if i feel like filing them down to see if it makes it better. The black case was nice, but no point in having a white phone with a black case. (atleast for me)

i got the white slider today as well. had ordered it online, but cancelled the order, cuz my local apple store had them.

I tried out one in the store, and it got stuck on my phone. i eventually got it off, swapped out the case, and now the second one is stuck on the phone.

i thought it was just my unit, but it must have been all of the white ones.

will wait for black to come in to see what that looks like on my white phone.

it certainly looks really cool on the phone, and is a great case, but having it stuck on there makes it really hard to be happy about it.

i dont know what to do here. the trick was to pry it off and im interested in this person who said they heated it all up to get it off. im worried about knicking the chrome border on the front of the phone

Yah, my case was stuck too. It ended up cracking when i pulled my iphone out of it. If you read a few posts back, i saw a guy in my local store with a stuck white case as well. not sure what heating method he used, maybe a blowdryer?

I bought the white case yesterday, and I must say that I am extremely pleased with it. It was definitely worth the wait. As far as it being stuck, I was able to get my case off. I did have to stick my finger nail in the crack where the bottom piece meets the top. Also, I found it easier to take the case off by loosening the bottom sides first rather than trying to remove the whole bottom piece at one time. Hope this helps.

I got the black matte yesterday and am very pleased with it. Looks like part of the phone and it feels nice and soft to the touch. It is definitely a very snug fit and I had a bit of a tough time getting the top part of the phone out but it did come out. Honestly, I don't foresee taking it out very often so its not really a big problem for me. I also had a couple of bubbles around the edge of my power support screen protector but as a previous poster mentioned this was because mine wasn't perfectly straight. Once I straightened it out it was fine. Only other thing I noticed is that there is a slight gap between top and bottom. It isn't really noticeable with a black case on a black phone but if you are thinking of putting a different color case on it might look a little strange. I didn't see any gap in the pic of the white case posted so maybe this is a defect in the black cases?

To those havin trouble with the white ones, I was patient with mine and took it off a few times and it seems to be loosening up. I don't know what the deal is??? My guess us the rubber against the plastic, but then why don't the black ones have the same problem?

It's not really a fit issue, but more a rubber strip issue, weird... If it's any consolation, I have taken mine completely off about 5 times and it has not scratched it at all, so that's good I guess. :( I'm a little disappointed by this. Lucky for me I don't use a dock and don't need to take it out much...

How's it treating the chrome bezel? This is my biggest concern.

I had the Slider for the original iPhone and dust got tripped and scratched the bezel. That's a common problem with all these cases which provide full access to the touchscreen. I expect the new Slider to have this problem.

The area around the bezel on this one is a little different than the first one, it has a much closer fit that seems to "wrap" around the front (I don't know a better way to describe it) so while I'd imagine it is perfectly possible to get junk in there to scratch the bezel, it appears to be a little harder. I'd say time will tell, but now most of us haven't had it long enough to know! :)

Got incase slider white today at Costa Mesa. They have alot of white in stock but not sure about the black since I wasn't looking for it.

I say it takes the same amount of power to get the iPhone out of the case as to the first iPhone. Although i haven't used it yet (need to put bodyguardz on the front of the iphone sceen) it would offer the same protection and thiness as the first generation case (which i still use for the case for my iphone)

I don't have a problem taking the iPhone out of the case btw (use 2 fingers - one on top and one on the bottom and pull)

I'll post pictures when i get home.

it takes the same amount of power to get the iPhone out of the case as to the first iPhone.

This must be a case to case issue, because I also had the slider for the 1st gen. Iphone and this 3g case is much, much more difficult to remove. In fact I broke it attempting to take it off and will be returning it tomorrow.
