I just decided to pick one up at the Apple store. They only had the matte black, but I think I will like this one better than the white. This is the first type of case I have bought like this because I have been waiting to find the very best other than my slip pouch from Beyza. This has a nice, tight fit and not sure whether dust will be able to get in there, but I am keeping the fingers crossed so it doesn't scratch the bezel.

Here are some pics of the black case with the white phone for anyone who is interested:

In your pic of the top, you have that same very small imperfection in between the headphone jack and sleep button.

I wonder if anyone else has that mark on their's as well. Here are a couple of pics of mine:

Yes, this seems to be problem with the white cases, there is more discussion in the other thread.

I picked up a black one at the apple store in Cincinnati today, they had both colors in stock. I tried the white one on, and even though it fit tighter than the black one, I was still able to remove it relatively easily. My matte black slider for my first gen iPhone fit even tighter, and was a pain to remove sometimes. You have to grip the screen and back with two fingers and just tug the crap out of it.

I was at the grand opening of the Carlsbad Apple store today and I asked the guy if they had any. He went into the back and pulled a black matte and white. I tried the black matte on and I just coulden't push myself to buy it. I love the look of the iPhone 3G and I just think it ruins the look of the phone.

The area around the bezel on this one is a little different than the first one, it has a much closer fit that seems to "wrap" around the front (I don't know a better way to describe it) so while I'd imagine it is perfectly possible to get junk in there to scratch the bezel, it appears to be a little harder. I'd say time will tell, but now most of us haven't had it long enough to know! :)

How about lining the bezel with some form of plastic film? Like Saran wrap or some thin tape before sliding it into the case?

Here are my late pics. I think we should merge with the other thread.

I have no trouble getting the 3g out of the case (imo) and have a bodyguardz front on the screen.

How is the white case as far as scratching is concerned. Does it get marked up easily or fiarly resistant?

I have the white case and I am having a hell of a time just getting the phone completely into the case. I'm thinking mine is a defect, so I'm planning on returning it to the store for another one soon.

In terms of other people having the same problem, I posted regarding this in the other thread but no one has responded yet. Anyone here run into this issue besides s2smooth4u?

The white one is surprisingly resistant to scratches. It goes in and out of my pocket (usually alone, but I do slip up sometimes) and slides across my desk as I move around all day and it doesn't have a scratch on it yet (had it since last friday). Just keep in mind that it is plastic, so scratching is inevitable.

OMG!!! I love the way this looks. It looks kinda slippery though. I am in need of another case. Black seemed nice, til these pix came up.

Dilemmas, dilemmas.

i finally got incase slider case at Valley Fair mall apple store in Santa Clara, CA. I love it!!

It feels so good.....

definitely the best iphone 3g case in the market!!!:)

White Incase 3g Slider Update

Everyone that has a white incase 3g slider and find it difficult to remove can call customer support. On Monday 8/25 they received a new special batch of white 3g sliders that were made slightly bigger. The customer service manager assured me that it will not be difficult to take off. He sent one out to me on Monday and I received it yesterday. I put it on and it definitely is easier to take off. It didn't take two people to remove. So if you are having this problem I suggest you call and get a new one sent out to you because they only were shipped two new boxes of the slightly bigger white 3g slider.

Incase Slider for iphone 3g (black)

Anyone with the black matte incase slider for iphone 3g have feedback on how it slides in and out of pockets. I know that other silicone cases are very difficult to remove from a pocket without sticking and they are lint collectors.

very easy to put in and take out of your pocket, and no lint. it's not like a silicone case at all.

So my roommate gave me his Black Matte, and now I also own a Glossy White. Great Cases, do they make a white Matte?

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately. I'd be all over a matte one (over my glossy white one) if they did.
