Still no issues with my Atlas case.
I had no problem removing the sticky residue from the screen when first opening up the case. No problems with phone calls and listening to music and the speakerphone is the same as the LifeProof I used before.
I threw the phone into the bath tub and had no water getting past the membranes.
I used FaceTime with no problems. I use a Bluetooth or wired headset most of the time, so I don't even need to complain about audio issues (I rarely use the speakerphone anyway).
To me, this case is like the Otterbox Armor but with a slimmer profile and better screen protector.![]()
I understand you not having issues using a headset but without a headset it sounds like a kazoo basically. I also do not like the glass screen protector. A friend of mine had the ATLAS, dropped it, and the screen on the case shattered. Bad idea by Incipio in my opinion. Yes it feels nice but in reality on a drop its more likely to break and shatter. With a plastic screen protector there is no chance of it breaking or shattering. The LifeProof Fre or the Otterbox Armor are the way to go in my personal opinion! But its all personal preference in the end!
Jayrflow: Try scrubbing with a bit of rubbing alcohol to get the residue off. Worked for me.
I picked up the Incipio ATLAS from Verizon. I had it for 1 day and returned it. The sound quality was terrible. I have the newest version of the LifeProof Frē and boy have they nailed every aspect. The quality of the sound is crystal clear during calls, speakerphone, and music. The screen has no oil slicks and the sensitivity is as if there was no case. It feels more secure than the ATLAS. And let's be honest, LifeProof is the ONLY company dedicated to waterproof cases. All these others are jumping on the bandwagon. I'll stick with LifeProof since waterproofing is there specialty. The ATLAS had horrible sound quality, high pitched noise from the earpiece, and it basically placed my phone on silent. And trust me I know because I went through all the black and white ones at Verizon. So roughly 10-12 cases. All had the exact same issues.
Uh, no offense man but you are pretty much trolling here in this thread. You just joined today to post these two posts against a much superior case when compared to LifeProof. Your Verizon store let you open up and try out 10-11 Atlas cases. I smell something here....
Im not trolling the thread. I saw it and figured i would put my input. I do not work for LifeProof. I am actually in Optometry school. Got my Bachelors of Science in Biology. I do not live in California, I am from Oklahoma so no I do not work for LifeProof. The VW I have in my town are actually really nice people and workers and themselves were interested in the case so when i had an issue we kept trying until we ran out. Its not like i left the store or registered all of them.^I agree with this post^
Must work for LifeProof.....
Also is anyone concerned about the tempered glass breaking when the phone gets dropped? I am curious how it will react

So everyone who got it from Verizon, did yours come with the sticker? I feel like returning it to see if they have any without the sticker in the inside. Maybe the first batch with the sticker inside are the ones with sensitivity issues
When I returned my first one I checked through all of them(you can check for the sticker thru the window in the box) and they all had stickers on them, white and black.

Black and Blue Atlas came in the mail today. Earphones, headphone adapter and t-shirt were included. I did not get earphones or the adapter at Verizon with my black case.
First impressions:
Passed the water test
Sticker was on outside of case, not on inside of glass like the case I purchased at Verizon.
Case was easier to open. I didn't have to use too much force to pop it.
In general, the QC seems better on this case.
The sound is much better than my black one was out of the box. It still rattles and distorts a bit at the top volume, but we'll see if it improves after it settles in a bit.
Overall impression: I think it's a better case than the first one.
I am going to return the black one to Verizon and give this one a good test.

One of my biggest gripes with this case was the lack of grip. Just bought a roll of this linerless rubber splicing tape at Lowe's for $3. I put a strip on either side yesterday and so far it's perfect. Still slides in and out of pocket easily. Doesn't slide on tables. Firm hold in hand. Love it! Not sure how long it will last, but feels great this morning. I'm a heavy user and no signs if peeling yet.
The moment I see people are having to make mods like this, the moment I instantly lose interest in this case.
