Scratches

Did the Incipio Feather for the 3GS end up scratching the back of your iPhone 3GS? That's what I'm worried about with these hard plastic cases.

nop, it won't scratch your iPhone: the plastic is actually really soft (I mean the case is pretty solid/rigid) but rubbing the inside of it won't scratch your phone, that is if you make sure that there's no dust as you put it on for the first time.
The seal on my 3GS was really good, and after a year, the back of my phone was pristine.

anyone has a coupon code for incipio?

It scratched the silver bezel. Dust will get in there since it doesn't really cover it. Still thought it was a great case if you want minimal protection.

i assume if you have a Zagg its going to need to come off to get this on? I like the looks of this although i don't think it offers much drop protection. I'd like to keep the Zagg on (front/back) but doesn't seem like you can keep the back Zagg on????

so does the Incipio case slide easily in and out of your pocket?

I have a bumper now and the rubber catches a little so it's doesn't slide in and out as easily as I'd like.

is it fair to say that the feather should be compared to a skin rather than a case? It seams to be a scratch protector just like a skin. Or is there more to it?

friend said its really for the feel. he had one on his 3g for 1yr straight and it cracked finally and he bought another one and when he dropped his 3g down some stairs the screen cracked. he liked it for the feel and scuff protection.

edit - he sent me this pic of his 3g after Feather was taken off. Those are not specks, little nicks... granted he said he never really took the feather off to clean...

The feather is almost identical to Power Support's Airjacket, except the Air doesn't have any labeling on it -- just a clean flat matte back. It looks and feels fantastic on the 3gs, and I expect the same for the 4. I ordered Incipio and will switch to the PS whenever that gets released.

I will say that my 3G also had some tiny nicks from dust getting under the case, just like the pic (though not as drastic). I guess I didn't clean it off as much as I should have. I did love the case, though. This time I'm just adding a back screen protector and hoping that will prevent the dust-scratching.

think the feather will work with the new I4 dock?

I had the 3gs version of the feather along with a dock. The feather is a great case and super thin for the amount of protection it provides... AND a super plus for me was that it wasn't made of that sticky silicon material... but from my experience of using it along with a dock, they did not fit.

I disagree. I bought the power support case first and returned it because the volume rocker was not as easy to use with the case on. The feather did not have this problem.

I have a feather on my ipod touch and it did scuff/nick on the underside from dust. I think this is bound to happen as dust and particles get in between the device and case over time. A thin protector may fit underneath. I'm thinking there's a better chance for that to work on a iphone 4 since it's completely flat on the back. As for protection, I'd say it's significantly better than just a skin. It should take some of the load off small drops whereas a skin would provide almost no protection. Personally I want to leave my iphone 4 naked but if there's no reception fix I may have to get a case and that would be the feather.

it does not slide as easily as a naked phone but it's really not too bad. I adds a good feel overall.

I say it slides in and out fine, It's not a silicon or subber grippy texture its just a thing really soft feeling, and it doesnt stick to anything

Ah forgot to mention. It should slide out of your pocket fine. It has a soft touch grip but nothing like a silicon/rubber case.

I ordered one and plan to use it with Wrapsol. Will post the results once setup. Hopefully everything gets here by the end of the week.

I think I've decided

I just realized how cheap Best Skins Ever are compared to other skins. I will pick up the full body skin. I will also get the feather and use their supplied screen protector.

This combo will allow me to have it "naked" when I want to admire the phone, but protected more for out and about with the feather. Plus the BSE skin will protect the back from getting dust scratches from the feather.
Also it is much cheaper then the wrapsol feather combo.
