Indexing still in progress. Is this “normal”?

Still indexing, started Tuesday morning

27 installed on day one. Indexing still going on. Got Siri on about day 3. iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Probably will have to wait for 27 Beta Update 2 or 3 to get fixed.

Mine shows no Apple Intelligence, but shows IpadOS as 35GB (and system data as 38GB)

there is nothing to fix. apple has told developers that the first new index could take 1-2 weeks for some user base off data, the device and devices usage and cloud data.

It’s been a week since installing Developer Beta 1 on my 13 mini, 13 Pro and my 15 Pro. Accessing my Settings in each device, I still see each device having that “Indexing in Progress” notice. Makes me wonder exactly how long does this process take on older gen iPhones?

My Air and 17 Pro hasn’t had this notice for four days now.

I am over a week in and I am only 44% done. My assumption is that this includes it indexing iCloud as well.

interesting! My iPhone 17 PM is at 95%, iPad Mini 7 at 85%, and m5 ipad pro that's been plugged in the most is only at 50%. Updates done at the same time.

Mine is still indexing on both iPhone Pro Max 16 and iPad Pro M4. I installed within an hour of Keynote. Also, Still waiting on the new Siri (assume index is blocking that). I wish there was some way to see how far the index has gone. (btw surprised the devices are not getting hot, since that is what usually happens).

In the console app on a Mac, the article linked above shows how to find out the indexing percentage.

Checked this last night and it was only at 48%!! I can’t believe after an entire week it’s only half way done! The phone sits on a MagSafe charger every night! I only have 120GB of data on the phone but a lot more in iCloud. It must be indexing that data too?!

I updated to iOS 27 on my iPhone 17 on Sunday night, today being Tuesday I never saw the message "indexing in progress" in my settings app.
