LOL, so Apple is going to release a stylus for the iPhone 6+. Great sign me up. :D

I'd love a stylus, like on the Note series. Butt he reason it works on the Note is because the Note is equipped with a Wacom 1024 level touchscreen. Without that, a stylus is merely a gimmick.

Just bookmarking this post for the claim chowder lulz.

Apple Macintosh 23.8" 4096x2160 IGZO, soldered ram, pcie ssd only (actually propertary m.2 ssd), cpu from i5+irispro 5200 to i7+ nVidia 980m (top bto model).

NO iMac 27 5K period, maybe also not iMac 27 again (or at least not before q4'15), apple will sell 5k display for Mac Pro maybe sharp branded, next cinema display maybe 4k only and have no Thunderbolt or 1 Thunderbolt + 1 display port (the info on the follow on cinema display it's uncertain).

iMac 27" with 4k or 5k doesn't matter with 970M/980M, small bezels i hope, no more spinning HDD as standard, better speakers, 16gb Ram as standard

I'm very interested as to what GPU they are choosing to run that 4K+ display. Historically, iMacs have used mobile GPUs, but you aren't going to run 4K on a mGPU, not without significant performance issues... On the other hand, if Apple does a scaled implementation where the OS is sampled at 4K (or even 5K), and then presented as HiDPI 1080p/1440p, then it could work. I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow.

EDIT: I also agree with what others have said. I think we're more likely to see a 4K/5K panel as a stand alone display, ala an updated Apple Display. At least for the time being.

Of course initial supplies will be limited. It's part of the plan to build hype for a product that no longer creates the hype it did a couple of years ago.

Apple holding back supplies has been proven wrong every single release. Why do you keep harping on this conspiracy theory?

Its not a really good point, or even a mildly good point. Its parroting the same line which has been thrown around for years. Anybody with even a basic understanding of business would know how, at Apples size, this would be a totally disasterous thing to do.

As for your views on the Mac line - plenty of people purchase and use mac desktops and laptops every day. If you have moved away from a desktop/laptop to a tablet or other device, that doesnt mean that all others have. And the Mac mini is a device with a massive following on these forums.

As for boring - I would prefer a boring company consistently refining and improving its solid product line, rather than an exciting one chashing gimmics and coming up with solutions for problems that dont exist.

Nicely said. I agree.

I've tried iPads of almost every stripe and I still use my iMac more. I know this will continue will when I replace said iMac with a new Mac Mini or whatever non-iMac Apple might introduce tomorrow.

It's great there is a product for everyone. I think it's pretty cool folks can go on just a tablet alone. I'm not one of those folks.

It seems Australia schools are just as bad as U.S. ones in teaching civics and history. The phrase "American Exceptionalism" did not derive from any meaning that America is superior or "most deserving." It's another phrase for the "American Experiment." It originated from the French observer of American government and life, Alexis de Tocqueville, who noted how the U.S. was unique -- not better, just distinct, which is another word for "exceptional."

Now that you know what the phrase means, use it correctly. It will make you look smart, rather than the uneducated rube way you used it above.

I thought the same thing...

Limited supplies....Even before release. Huh.

Didn't Velveeta do this before the super bowl?

That's a really good point. This year has so far been a lot of hype and bullpucky but not very much that can be called amazing. The iPhone 6 is really great (I've got one) but not really that amazing compared to the 5c I traded in.

As for the entire Mac line it almost makes one ask, "do they still make those" except for the mini which provokes the question, "why do they still make those"? The non-Steve Apple is turning out to be somewhat boring.

Please stop with the "non-Steve Apple" nonsense. It is clear, and stated in the OP, that Apple is being hamstrung by Intel's delay of Broadwell. If you are displeased by the situation, imagine Apple's reaction.

No update to the Mac mini again? JC.... That's ridiculous. Just axe the thing at this point. I'm tired of waiting!!!!

No need to throw out the baby with the bath water. Again, this is the result of the delay of Broadwell. The delay is preventing the launch of a new MBA and/or hybrid device and the Mac Mini. So many impatient people on here.

My predict is the "One more thing" is the updated Mac Mini. My take is it follows the style of the current Mac Pro but only an inch tall.

I hope not. I am endeared to its current form factor very much.

Yea, a bit of a bad day. :) So the new countries are only getting the 6, not the 6+?

----------

Just ask him to get me a 6+. :D

I get it. I am waiting for my 6+ which was ordered on Sep. 19, after waiting in line at my local VZW which did not receive any iP6+ stock. And I was the first person in line. :D

Huh. I don't think I saw one post here about iOS 8 issues affecting iPad Air 2 sales. We are going to see hesitation there. Not from the people here, but the general public. People who use these devices for business are being affected.

Right now, I have to run my 4th gen iPad with spell check turned off or Safari keeps locking up. Camera crashes, photos crashes, etc.

I wiped the device and installed 8.0.2 without restoring my backup and all problems were still there. When I tried to restore my backup, it kept hanging while syncing apps. I had to reboot the device 8-10 times to get it to sync everything. Way to go Apple...break the restore process.

I have a $900 order through VZW for a 6+/64GB. Tim better have something to say about these iOS 8 issues on Thursday or that phone is getting returned when it arrives in a month. A lot of people here are in Apple's captive audience, but not everyone is and I will dump them in a second.

I could cut them some slack if I could go back to 7.1.2, but that window is closed.

I am waiting on my order for the exact same device. I just figure this delay has given me more time to decide which case(s) to buy and which, if any, screen protector to apply. I am not thrilled with iOS 8 on my family's two iP5s-es. Yes, 7.1.2 was better. I really hope Apple irons out the software bugs.

Sour grapes from one person who has yet to get their phone. News flash: you want one, get up and get to an Apple Store on launch day.

News flash: you want one, get up and get to an Apple Store one week before launch day. Going to the Apple Store on launch day doesn't guarantee anything; certainly going to the local wireless provider didn't guarantee anything for me either--nor for anyone in our wireless provider's region, except for ONE store.

Better, faster, stronger, shinier, quiter, sharper, taller, best. It will be best! Or your money back.

Lmao, I mean the 12.9 inch (or whatever it will be) iPad might be interesting because it's a different product it seems. But another iPad with touchID and slimmer. *yawn*. If you don't have an iPad by now you won't own one -- not until the laptop is completely antiquated.

And don't get me started on the iMac.

I can predict "Initial iPhone 6S supplies may be limited.", "Initial iPhone 7 supplies may be limited.", "Initial iPad Air 3 supplies may be limited.", and so on. :)

Seems to be one of their goto predictions these days. Always claim there might be short supply. It's a decent bet and makes it look like they actually had some factual based information rather than a random guess.

The "rumors" here have gone the Fox News way of zero fact checking and anyone can say anything and be taken as gospel. It the Nostradamus way of prediction. Make enough predictions and some of them are bound to come true.

I hope that they will announce a 6th gen. iPod touch... It's been way too long.

As long as the Mac mini gets an update as well I am fine... A little bit a shame that only the 27" iMac gets updated and not the 21". I would like :apple: to make a 24" again as to me that was the perfect size. 21" I a little to small where for me the 27" is to big

My 2 cents

There is no such thing as "too big". It could be too expensive, but too big - no.

If there were a 55" iMac I would by it.

I think Kuo is choking on his tea leaves. He's basically using cannibalization as an argument that Apple is stifling progress on the iPad Mini. That rather invalidates the rest of his claims, regardless of his previous better-than-average track record.

----------

I predict no Sapphire will be used in these new iPads!

Camera lens? Touch ID?

Limited, not this again.

It seems like this stuff is timed to come out as soon as possible before the Keynote as well. Is there an agenda here?

Usual bleating from Ming. Even my toaster can come up with "Initial supplies of <your favorite iDevice> will be limited" analysis. And it will be right.

Not what you think...

This event will be all about Mac's...new completely redesigned MBA, MBP, Mac-Mini AND iMacs. All will come with Yosemite (of course)...

The one more thing....a new Apple TV 'type' product...complete with cable card slot...has extensions to support participating service providers (AT&T, ComCast, etc.)

Ok, then Apple will all their trillions still can't do a proper product launch. People are having their iPhone orders delayed all the while Apple launches the phone in a couple dozen new countries.

Or do they do it intentionally to keep the hype going for several month instead of meeting the demand and let the buzz fizzle away?

Not sure you understand how supply chains actually work.

Supplies constrained

I for one am sick of this phrase. There hasn't been a 6+ 128GB Slate grey in the US for a week (I've checked every single night).

Now I am going to have to wait for my iPad update too? Argh!

LOL! Just like the MacPro!! (Dec. 31 2013) I gotta think there's some tax reason they must ship by the end of the year otherwise, why the hell would you release a product then? The MacPro is basically a 2014 machine, but because of some weird reason, they launched it the last day of 2013.

Apple's fiscal year-end is in September so unlikely for taxes. Though end of December is the start of Q2, and launching in the middle of the holiday season isn't the best idea so that awkward date may have been the earliest possible.

I predict no Sapphire will be used in these new iPads!

Not even on TouchID? ;)
