Hi all :) Are your laptop successfully sleeping if you close your laptop lid and open after 2-3 hours? Maybe you have boot from apple logo after open the lid without correct sleep on Monterey?
I'm also having a similar issue. When I close the lid on battery power for a few hours, my Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15 with NVIDIA graphics on Monterey doesn't respond immediately and I have to press the power button to turn it on again. It shows the apple logo and then the login screen, but it's not a full reboot since everything is back as I left it after I enter my password. Unlock with Apple Watch doesn't work either.

Hello All,

I had a hard time updating to 12.1.

First, I tried OTA update, which failed miserably, leaving the system unbootable with the Install Monterey partition. My only option was to create a USB installer and try it again.

I then boot Big Sur 11.6.1 from my Lacie Thunderbolt SSD. Updated Big Sur to 11.6.2, had the BootRom updated and only then I created the USB installer for Monterey. After the creation of the USB Installer, I tried the installation several times without any success.

I was planning to get rid of the partition with Monterey and start from an empty SSD, but this morning I decided to give the USB Installer another try. This time I mounted the EFI partition and removed the APPLE folder with the 11,2 firmware and monitored the installation during every minute also pressing OPT after every reboot to make sure the correct option would be selected. After three reboots, I am back to Monterey 12.1.

Anyways, I hope the update goes smoothly for everybody.

I tried to update with oclp but the system was unbootable...
does it work with macbook pro mid 2014 with Nvidia 750? I have to update efi then can I update with oclp?

So I'm new to all this and I saw that on the first page you said if you have anything other than intel to use OCLP. Does that apply to the MBP 11,3 that has both the Intel Iris GFX and the PCIe Nvidia GT 750M?

*edit*
after reading through a few pages, I think I found my answer and I just need to use OCLP.

If you followed the instructions in this thread, you should not have any issues!! Also, if you put a complete description of your Macbook Pro, people could give you more specific advice.

I am attaching my EFI based on OpenCore 0.7.8 released today (Feb. 07) which uses a Virtual Machine approach instead of spoofing a MacBookPro11,4 for those who might be interested. Note that Apple still "thinks" the host is a Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6 (MacPro6,1 - Late 2013).
