Do you know what version of macOS you were on? If it is 11.2 or later, I thought that problem was supposed to be fixed.Yep, finally got it fixed after some trial and error, took me 3 hours..

The issue here reminds me of the possible headache of clean installing MacOS Monterey on my M1 Air. Will I run into the same problem, when clean installing Monterey?Do you know what version of macOS you were on? If it is 11.2 or later, I thought that problem was supposed to be fixed.

It hasn't been a wide spread problem for a long time. I believe the (well meaning) OP dove into the deep end without doing some much needed research first, or relied on outdated material to do a clean install.I can’t believe we’re at 11.4 and this is still a problem.
If that is your only machine, I wouldn't install the beta, unless you are truly comfortable working your way out of potential problems with install and everything in between.Has anyone clean installed Monterey beta on their M1 machines? Did you still run into the problem described here?
I had to on mine because it was a second hand unit. First owner had to wipe everything.Wait a second. You are reinstalling big sur on a brand new mac that came with big sur?
I'm not installing any beta, Robert. If that is your only machine, I wouldn't install the beta, unless you are truly comfortable working your way out of potential problems with install and everything in between.
