the bezel is thinner which would be good, and actual machine thickness (the bottom portion is the same, but it has more internal volume for components by the look of it, its not so tapered on the bottom.

It's too thin to fit any of current power components in it. There's zero chance of this place model being the new MacBook Pro.

Interesting in combination with older liquid metal rumor:

Especially the menu-color change.

It definitely has similarities to the current MBP but it looks more like Intel just took a stock MBP photo from Apple and changed it just enough so that it looks different. Apple wouldn't have any reason to release any promo pics to anyone at this point. It's not like promo pics are part of the supply chain..

Yeah, I'm thinking intel just thought they looked nice and changed it enough to not get in trouble for it.

Well, other rumors also talk about a new metal being used that is stronger and lighter than aluminum, so liquid metal makes sense.

The color is just a mix of other rumors (like the intel advert, etc). I wouldn't mind black metal to be honest :)

Liquidmetal is a possibility, I was simply pointing out that those images you posted were edited to match Apple's website when they first changed it and don't reflect what liquidmetal actually looks like(which is close to what aluminum looks like).

There was another thread about it earlier. It looks like they simply edited one of apple's stock photos, but left it looking quite a bit like an actual MBP. I highly doubt Apple would give pics to intel anyhow, so it's unlikely

Not saying it's an MBP or not, but the screen is definitely 16x10 (white outline) as opposed to 16x9 (red outline).

Wow, we must really be desperate for the new MBP's! I don't think Intel would let their designers use a new mockup and as much as I'd favor a black MBP, Apple's always used silver/grey for their premium laptops - I doubt they'd change now.

I bet this is the new MBP; the MBP line comes with one color; the silver. I don't believe there is possibility able turns its MBP to colorful machines :p

Intel has used Photoshopped MBPs in their past ads as well. For example Light Peak was showed in MBP with 3 LP ports and it was compared to normal MBP.

*MBP*

*Intel's thinger*

They look very similar.

Indeed they do - they both seem to have screens, and there's even a lower portion on that new laptop! I'll bet there's a keyboard as well.

If these were indeed the new MacBook Pros, Apple would be screaming at Intel to take down every instance of that picture. Black glossy on every surface doesn't seem much like their style anyway.

somebody confirms this plz?
if it's 16:10, then there's a very high chance that this is indeed macbook pro, right?
