Sorry but Apple has to follow the guidelines that the mall gave them in regards on how to form the line.

Have u been to this store or mall ? Or better yet for a launch at this store ?

They have in the past ran 2 lines. Apple employees are directing every move out Here today has nothing to do with the mall. Even mall security is following what apple tells them. They haven plenty of space to run 2 lines going the opposite direction of each other ( 2 sidewalks )

I was one of the first people in and out of the Tampa, FL (International Mall) Apple Store. Yay me! :D
I got in line around 9:30 p.m. with a Reservation!
They split the line up once inside.
The Chicken Biscuits, Apples, Water Bottles, and Orange Juice were all mighty tasty.
iPhone 4 Reservations Rule!!!!

Got there at 3AM with a reservation. 200+ in line at that point. There was 1 line to start, but they are separating lines just before you get in. The walk ins are moved to the other side of the doors where the umbrellas are(before heading inside to wait) and the people who reserved head in.

Plenty on heated walk ins because they are taking reservations people 1st. Easily 500 people in line when I left.

No where near the volumes, but they did the same routine for the 3gs release.

Lets face it, the volumes are causing issues not the 1 line deal. Feel bad for people with reservations and still in line

Other launches they have ran then line going in each direction. Since you have been to that mall you should know what I'm talking about

Yes volume is causing a delay but the main delay is everyone in one big line. Make 2 lines and the reserve should go first. I'm talking outside not inside after waitn a day out in 97 degrees. Make sure your reserve people get their stock first then let walk INS in !! It's not rocket science !!!!

Been there for every iPhone release. Honestly, I reserved the 3GS last year and I could have sworn they did the same process as they did this year. I could be wrong, but I don't remember 2 separate lines in 2 directions last year. I am getting old so my memory could be going....

The Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, NJ was the same way. One huge, angry line outside around the building directly in the sun w/ ONE security guard, and the line breaking into two inside. The mall itself wouldn't let Apple break it into two lines outside, thus making it hours long and frustrating the walk-ins who keep getting weeded out and left in the heat.

Omg at this line. I showed up at 11am and the wait time is five to six hours for reserves. This line is too long. 120 activations per hour is what we were told.
