"Invisible" white text

I think writing in french which everyone can see, and writing in white where no one can see, unless they wanted to, are completely different things.

How? Both are deliberately masking something to people without a certain knowledge - one of a foreign language, and one of knowing that there's white text.

Hmmm, so did I (edesignuk locked it i believe). Someone must have reopened it, which is a good thing, because I was enjoying it! :)

Anyhow, I usually enjoy checking for hidden text and and on most occasions finding some kind of humorous/witty addition. I don't find it rude at all and as others have said it adds to the fun of this great forum.

PS I don't think there's ever been a thread with so much invisible text. Ah, the irony....

 
We should ban PM'ing, too - I read that somebody PM'd somebody else and I feel left out.
 
max_altitude-- that only inverts the colour, it's still unreadable... :confused:
it is easier to read once you select all, though.. white on light blue v. black on brown.

I did, but reopened it due to a polite request. I closed it because there's no way white text will be banned, so this is really going no where.

This will probably be closed again soon, as, shockingly, it isn't going anywhere.

I read MR a lot, and I never knew about this white texting. VERY COOL! Only now I'm going to have to go back and reread all the old threads to see what I've missed. I'd almost rather not have found out. This is going to take months....

As is posting threads in regards to sharing pictures pretty women on their desktops. I am not against that but I am sure some on here object to it as you do white text.

There are one or two things in this community that annoy me, but it is a community, it is going to happen wether it is perceived as rude by myself or not.

Equivocation.

PMing is not only foregrounded in the CP, but is a private conversation between two members.

White Texting is a public way to carry on a conversation that foregrounds the ignorance of other members.

It's ridiculous to get rid of white text and not entirely civil to use it.
 
I find it absolutely hilarious how seriously some people are taking this whole "white text" thing. It's a freakin' Internet Forum! How do some of these people function in the real world if they get hung up on the "ethics" of using white text in an Internet discusison group? :p :D
