My 6 feels rather sluggish with beta 5. Animation has reportedly been re-designed but it feels laggy when I close an app. Anyone else with a 6 experiencing the same?

Hey guys,

I installed beta 5 and something drains my battery since it's been unplugged.

No apps in background.

Does it happen to someone?

Maybe it's the search indexing or so? I think this is not gonna saved in the backups for iPhone und must be done every time you restore your iPhone.

%5 - 6 battery drain all nights. Is it normal? If it is not, what are you guys suggest me to do to prevent this?
Thank you for your answers.

I'd be excited if my battery only drained 5-6% overnite.... mine will drain to zero from 50 or 60% overnite if unplugged from a charger....

I have had this issue since I moved past 10.1.1

5-6% seems about right.
Have you checked if your battery is faulty? I'd restore to 10.2.1 and then take it to Apple if that doesn't fix battery drain. No software will fix a faulty battery.

I have done all that.... I really want to go back to 10.1.1 But thats no longer an option.... I had a new battery installed earlier in the week, no significant change.

This beta 5 seems a bit better for me, but its not as it should be.

Something is churning the phone, even in standby, as others are seeing to.... the only questions are 1) Why isn't it affecting everybody and 2) What is causing the affected phones to drain our batterys ? Mine did not do this with ios 9 and early ios 10.

Sorry if I am repeating... just wanted to address today's earlier comments.

And you started fresh? No restore from backup? If so, that's definitely not normal.

Some app hung up somewhere. Take a look at email accts and iCloud. Disabling email accts and rebooting or signing out of iCloud and back in could resolve those issues. Perhaps close all apps from app switcher and reboot your device. Resetting network settings can solve this as well. A full reset>reset all settings is sometimes needed to resolve. That will keeps apps and data but will have to set your wallpaper and wifi networks as well as any specific settings you had set back up.

I have done all of those things at various times with no change.

I removed my Beta profile and wiped it clean and started anew.... no net changes in my battery drain issue.

And I have submitted many feedbacks to apple thru the ios 10 beta process....

The other effect that is to be seen is the slowed charging rate, I presume because whatever is causing the discharge rate is then interfering with charging at the same time.

When it used to charge normally (ios 9) it would recharge from say 10% to 100% in say 2.5 hours max.... now it takes 5-7 hours....sometimes it feels even longer....

It looks like your OKCupid app is running in the background the entire time. Look at your other apps at the top of the list and see if they also have the same background minutes as on screen minutes. I would delete them one by one and see if your battery gets better.

Maybe you've got some other hardware issue. What happens when you do a clean install of 10.2.1 and not out any apps on there? How fast does the battery drain or how long does it take to charge?

I am very pleased with this beta on my 7+, the only issue that is frustrating me is the AppleTV Remote app can't seem to keep its pairing with my ATV. Anyone else having issues with it?

Does voicemail transcription not work in the betas?

Mine hasn't been working on at least beta 4 and 5. But this is a new phone (iPhone 7) and just switched to a new carrier a week ago .. so I initially thought it was one of those two things. But now I'm not so sure.

Either way, I haven't been able to get voicemail transcriptions to work at all yet on this new phone with B4 or B5.
