OK, I get that the money you send is deducted off of a debit/credit card that you register.
But in what way does the party getting the money actually have it to spend?

[iOS 11 is] an utter fudging mess,
I have never had as many crashes and bugs
in several years of iOS use as I have had with iOS 11!!

Agree 10000000%. iOS 11 is a binary abomination.
Oh, what I wouldn't give for iPad 1's smoothness of use ....

Yeah, the typical usual BS reply eh. I DON’T HAVE ANY PROBLEM THERFORE IT MUST BE YOU!!

Please don’t reply if you have nothing useful to say.

I apologize. Try signing out of your account, deleting your Apple Pay information, and a hard reset.

Maybe it differs in the US and Australia (I'll find out about the later as I'm off for 3 weeks soon), but I found nothing properietary about Apple Pay. All around Europe and Russia where ever I see contactless payment it just works, even if the banks haven't enabled their own cards for Apple Pay. Moscow underground, just tap in/out with your watch. Warsaw restaurants, just tap it with your watch/phone. Amsterdam bars just use Apple Pay.

It is not a platform specific payment method...

Sorry - it isn't the use of payment system that is a problem it is the card issuers that are the problem. I switched Credit Card companies as my bank doesn't support Apple Pay so I couldn't link my card to Apple Pay. That has backfired on my bank as I was then open to considering other mortgage lenders and will shortly be switching both mortgage lender and retail banking to another bank that does support Apple Pay.

Agreed I did the same. It’s a competitive market out there. If my bank doesn’t provide what I want then I’ll go somewhere else.

I've never been charged a fee from paypal for person to person use.
This far, no mention of chargebacks, I don’t believe they are implementing it. However if you’re that worried, transfer it to your bank as soon as you receive it.

If you’re anything like me, to avoid the big ass fees PayPal take off me.

I just updated my iPad to the 11.2 beta and it doesn’t seem like it’s available on there. Has anyone had any luck? I had the beta running on my iPhone and the set up process was almost immediately and seems to be working well.

Update: Nevermind, about an hour later in Messages, it randomly prompted me to set it up. Just an FYI if you're wondering about other devices.
