This has probably been mentiioned before, but there’s a weird bug where swiping down Notification Center after unlocking the phone will display the passcode screen sometimes. It’s annoying.

It is there since the release of iOS 11.0. They have unified Lock Screen with Notification Center and it brought so many bugs that they can not fix for months.

Another bug is swiping from bottom in the Notification Center sometimes brings Control Center instead of dismissing the Notification Center since iOS thinks that you are in Lock Screen, not Notification Center.

Another example, tapping on a notification in the Notification Center does not dismiss Notification Center sometimes with same reasons.

Update: It happened again. Mess

The update was about 2.6 GB on my iPhone 6 Plus. I had to delete several videos and store stuff in the cloud so I could download it. Ah the loves of a 16 GB device.

No matter what I try, I cannot get iCloud Messages working. It's like pseudo-enabled for me, at the moment.

1. When I go to delete a thread, it warns about deleting it from all of my devices. It doesn't actually delete them from other devices.
2. Occasionally I get a message at the bottom of the Messages app saying "iCloud Messages is Disabled" with the option to repair my account. When I tap on "Repair," it thinks for a second and then goes back to the disabled message.
3. "Messages" is not present in iCloud Settings.
4. iCloud Messages is enabled on my Mac but doesn't actually work (doesn't delete from iOS devices when I delete on Mac, or vice versa).
5. I do meet all of the requirements, re: 2FA, etc.

Went so far as to log completely out of iMessage and FaceTime (and turn both off) as well as iCloud, power off all devices, power iPhone back on and re-enable iMessage/FaceTime/iCloud. Still getting the same behavior. Also restored iPhone as new and same behavior. I'm thinking it's somehow a problem with my account, given I basically erased and signed out of everything possible.

I know it's a beta and there's no expectation that this feature should work at all, but something really goofy is going on for me that I haven't seen anybody else mention!

Things were a bit sluggish at first. But after signing out on iPhone and iPad and signing back in everything is working fine. I did not reboot either device before signing back in. Deleting on one device does delete on the other.

Not that this helps you any! Not sure what to suggest you try next. Something does not seem to syncing right for you.

Yeah, I'm a bit stumped. I had similar behavior on the 11.3 betas too, so I'm not confident that subsequent 11.4 betas will fix the issue. I'll most likely wait for the feature to debut publicly, and, if I'm still having problems, reach out to Apple. No biggie!

Yes. Since iOS 11.4 beta 1, it’s worked great.
This is one feature I want to use. I don't use iCloud storage for anything else and having my messages sync would be nice. Glad that you like it. If you turn it off do the messages revert to the old storage or does it keep them all downloaded like if i have messages on my iPhone but not iPad, and then turn on iCloud messages to get them on the iPad, will there be an option to keep those messages on iPad if I turn it off/

Battery life seems pretty good for a beta 1.

The "c" in the build number shows that its the third Apple-internal revision, which is few for a beta 1 and shows that its a good beta already.

At 11.3 we had "f" at first beta, means it needed 5-6 internal revisions before releasing it.

Although some identifiers can certainly give an idea of how many builds or spins there might have been to get there, they don't necessarily say much one way or another about something better better or worse. There could have multiple spins of a similar build as some logging or flags were added or removed or even if some other build-related parameters were updated in some fashion, which might not even have anything to do with the code or iOS itself.

I was wondering why my battery life was bad, but looked and realized it was iMessage. Weird. Has iMessage in iCloud really causes this much trouble for anyone else?

It is a beta after all, for a reason. I am having trouble syncing my messages between Mac and iPhone on this beta. All previous betas worked so flawlessly I did not have to do anything. Here, I can't seem to get it working at all. Past messages are not syncing to the iPhone, but exist on the Mac.

That makes sense as in the background there’s an lot of syncing going on but I guess it will settle down over time but I don’t use it nor need it myself

Could that be why they didn’t push iCloud iMessage in 11.3? Battery concerns is what I mean.

Anyone else with this error, ""Messages in iCloud not available" "Messages in iCloud is not available because iCloud and iMessage accounts are different". Before this beta, I didn't have a problem with messages in the cloud.

I had the same problem. I found that on both my iPad and iMac, my iCloud account was signed in with my @me.com email address and iMessage was signed in with my @icloud.com email address. Signed out of iMessage on my iMac and iPad and signed back in with my @me.com email address. Now iMessage sync is working between my iPhone, iPad and iMac.

Downgraded to 11.3 (due to issues with iCloud Messages Sync and getting fed up of it) and lost all iCloud Keychain as prize/ punishment. :p
