iOS 11.4 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

On the underground today using AirPods music cuts out, look at my X and there’s a black screen with white text saying “This iPhone is unavailable please try in a minute” (may not be the exact wording). It did give you the option of calling an emergency number. After a minute this disappeared and Face ID let me in, and the music picked up from where it left off. What happened?
 
Could someone please test if Apple enabled Dual Audio for Bluetooth? It is a feature of Bluetooth 5 (iPhone 8/X) and so far iOS is not capable to stream to two bluetooth headphones/speakers like the Samsung Galaxy. Maybe Apple included it with Airplay 2.

There is a message similar to that when the wrong passcode is entered too many times. Commonly caused by tiny fingers that don’t know any better.
 
I’m still having an issue on my iPad Pro 10.5 where sometimes Safari doesn’t launch the last page visited, but a blank page. Happens randomly. Reported it again.

Is anyone else having issues AirPlaying audio from videos? I know YouTube is an issue, but the audio just isn’t coming out of the HomePod. And even AirPlaying audio from a music app lags.

Thanks for the update : sadly it did not work for me. I toggled the setting on then off. It did not help. I then toggled on and powered off then on. Then I toggled off again and powered off and on. Still not working !

Now I hard reset twice and still not working.
 
My now playing widget does not work at all at the moment. The progress bar just sits at 1 second into every song. Figure it’s just beta thing cuz it was fine back on 11.3

Ah ok I know how that happened - likely the screen was on in my pocket as I was on the train (crowded) and it thought it was trying to be unlocked.

iPhone 7 getting best battery life yet on this beta. Glad to know I can get through my day.

Battery life awesome for me on this beta on iPhone 7 Plus after first day like always I used low power mode for first day. Not once it reaches 20% but I mean after fully charged I turn on low power mode and it lasts ages even on first day. Second day and afterwards it’s fine.

Anyone having issues with Apple pay? At two different places, since I installed 11.4b1, the point of sale NFC readers have failed to detect Apple pay properly and refused to work. In the past it has worked flawlessly at these stores.
 
I have problem with hardware on/off sound button! In some applications when use it, it wont work properly!
It seems to be software issue, cos when quit the app, it is ok!

I have the iPhone X with iOS 11.4 beta 1.
when I receive a call and look at the camera, the ringer volume does not go down. while with the alarm works.
if install official ios11.3 it works.
Is there a solution?

It's always been hit or miss if the developer of an app will use the ring/silence switch or not to control whether or not the sound plays.

Whats the point of beta testing any more cos 11.3 is plagued with major bugs even after 3 months of beta testing forbes said 11.3.1 is coming asap its like they cant ever fix anything

I haven't any issues using NFC at a point of sale, but I have had issues paying with Apple Pay in two different apps. Keeps saying I need to set up Apple Pay in Settings, but it is set up already.
