Hi,
I have the iPhone X with iOS 11.4 beta 1.
when I receive a call and look at the camera, the ringer volume does not go down. while with the alarm works.
if install official ios11.3 it works.
Is there a solution?
Thanks

Attention Aware Features has been reported as not working on the betas including 11.4

Its getting crazy, somehow it wont determine if its on or off and is switching between modes!

I had this issue on my phone few months ago, and it turned out it was a hardware issue and Apple replaced my phone. They said it happens when a dirt goes into ring switch.

It’s just a quirk with beta builds it will work fine when 11.4 is released.

I don think it is a hardware issue, will see in next update!
Can someone try this on 6s to see if there is a problem like mine!

I wonder which reading I should trust?

I was thinking the same, but it was a "common problem" according to Apple. And my device is also 6s.

Besides, if it is a software issue, I had the exact same issue on iOS 11.1 or something. It must have been there for months.

only apple have access to real battery information!

so have you had the iPhone turn off with a good amount of battery left ? if not apple is correct because if your battery is as bad as coconutBattery Plus says it is and iOS 1.4 beta 1 is NOT THROTTLING your iPhone it would be using full power to the CPU and power off when the battery still had about 20 - 30 % charge left !

also if it had powered off with a good amount of battery left iOS 11.4 beta 1 would be throttling your iPhone to save power and give you longer battery life !

so I would say trust apple !

It stopped, will see after some days!

Whats the point of beta testing any more cos 11.3 is plagued with major bugs even after 3 months of beta testing forbes said 11.3.1 is coming asap its like they cant ever fix anything

I wouldn’t trust Forbes’ reporting about iOS.

The article you mentioned is titled “Apple iOS 11.3.1 Release: It's The Big One.” There is no 11.3.1, not yet, not even in beta. The author is just speculating.

The author of these iOS-bashing Forbes pieces is kind of an iOS troll. Every time a new version of iOS comes out, the guy scans online forums, compiles a list of people’s problems, and then posts on article in Forbes about how awful the iOS version is and how Apple had better release an update to fix it. He treats each forum user’s reported problem as a legitimate issue with iOS that will plague everyone who installs this version on their iDevices; he doesn’t consider the possibility that someone’s complaint is due to something other than iOS, like user error or a rogue app.

What he doesn’t tell you is that the vast majority of users are having a positive experience. Few people post an item titled “Wow, another smooth iOS version! How great is this, guys?” People generally post only when they have problems, so they can get help from other forum users. So if you count positive and negative posts about a new iOS, the negative ones will always far outnumber the positive ones.

I’m not blindly loyal to iOS, nor blindly opposed to Android. But it doesn’t help anyone when either OS is unfairly bashed, by a supposedly respectable publication like Forbes, or anyone else.

I agree. I am using this latest beta and all previous ones as my daily driver on my iPhone 7 Plus and my iPad Air 2 and they run very well apart from little issues which I have mentioned and reported. Not once have I had an issue so bad I had to go back to non beta !

fast , smooth experience, good battery life but of course I always want a bit more !

Am I a bit thick, or has Siri only now started to do translations from British English to German, French, Mandarin etc. ?
I wonder if this is a first sign of HomePod being launched in Germany and France

Has anyone noticed that the battery gauge is more linear on 11.4b1 than previous builds? For example, before 11.4b1, it would stay at 100% for a while after unplugging.... 3-5 hours of standby at least.... before starting to decrease. On 11.4b1, it seems to start dropping much sooner after unplugging.

My overall standby drain seems to be about what it was before.... in the vicinity of 0.6%/hour overnight if I start the night at <80% charged (background refresh disabled).

It will not go away. Workaround: "Edit" select messages then "Delete" to avoid the prompt.

Seem like a safety net to keep you from accidentally deleting a thread as opposed to simply muting it since they are right next to each other.

I think a better “fix” would be to enable swiping one way to delete the thread and the other way to mute it.

I would think that would make it easier to accidentally delete a thread, especially if there were no confirmation prompt.
