I updated to the GM whichever day it was available and ever since then it has been really laggy. I want to downgrade to 10.3.3, then just upgrade to the official iOS 11 to see if that makes a difference. Is anyone on 7 Plus experiencing the same?!

Also, if I downgrade then upgrade, will this cut off the connection with my watch running watchOS 4? I contacted Apple and they're not sure yet...

GM is same build as public release, so the software will be the same. I fail to see how you'd have any different experience, rather than removing your personal settings and other items.

If you downgrade to iOS 10.3.3, your Apple Watch will not work with your iPhone, because WatchOS 4 requires iOS 11. You can't downgrade Watch OS software at this time, unfortunately.

You need iOS 11 to have your Watch connect if its on WatchOS 4. Your best bet is to do a clean install of iOS 11. That should resolve your issues, I would think. I have a 7+ with no lag issues at all.

If I downgrade then upgrade to iOS 11, will my watch unpair? Or will it unpair while on 10.3.3 then pair again when I update to iOS 11?

I think it won’t recognize your watch at all after you downgrade, and still won’t after you upgrade. You’ll just need to repair after the upgrade.

It’ll probably unpair even if you do a clean install.

Man, I install these betas to help report bugs... it's too much hassle to go back to official releases haha. Thanks.

Change to zoomed mode. Seems to work much smoother for me.

I’ve been on the GM since the day it came out and battery life has been decent. 8 hours on light usage. It’s kind of pathetic to me but as long as I can get through the day without charging, I’ll take it.

I don't find the GM to be laggy on the 7 Plus.

Some people have reported though they have had unusual lag after upgrading to iOS 11 (like one guy with a 6s), that was fixed with a clean install.

If you want to save the data your watch has generated you will have to un-pair it first before you do anything with the phone. Perform an iCloud backup after you un-pair so it will all be in the iCloud backup.

If you didn't, it would force you to reset your watch to default settings in order to go though the paring process. The exception to this is if you have un-paired as some point in the past. You would see an old backup that you might have been able to use but the end result is the same. Loss of data.

Thank you all. A clean install of iOS 11 worked for me. I lost all my data but I don't really care. As far as the pairing of the Apple Watch goes, it shows as disconnected but everything still syncs to it so I'm not sure, haha
