Wannabe designers. It's much easier to denigrate other peoples work than to do your own that might people see how awful your designs are.

I would like all forums to make a rule that before you can pick apart anothers' work you must post an example of your own so that everyone can see if you know what your posting about.

You’re missing the point, iOS 10 [sic] was great and 11 is a step backwards in many aspects...
Do me a favor. Since L.M.G.T.F.Y. is banned for being too snarky on MRF, would you Google something for me? Google "iOS10 problems" Does anything come up?

Hint - It's PAGES of articles complaining about iOS 10.0.0.

Yes, iOS 10.3.3 is great, but this happens every stinkin' year. (And issues get reported and rectified every stinkin' year.) How about we all calm down, take a deep breath, grab a beer, and enjoy our devices? If the issues bother you so much, join the beta program and report 'em.

Yes, I realize that and know that there will be problems every year. That’s one thing.

But you usually don’t see so many examples of design issues that were just fine the year before.

Someone who has written any software - interfacing code from multiple teams who probably don't know all the details about other parts of the code being actively developed for meeting deadlines, and combining all that into one working final product would know that the first priority is getting the product to be functional and then iron out cosmetic bugs while improving overall code for speed and efficiency.
This is not an excuse for Apple for having missed these cosmetic details. It's possible that multiple teams were trying out different font sizes or the search bar and its placement and after gathering user feedback will settle for a common guidelines.

... it's the future. Just don't close your eyes while you look at it ;)

Steve Jobs is dead. Steve Jobs approved the idea of Apple Maps which is Apple's most spectacular failure, he also approved iTunes Ping! which is his 2nd most spectacular failure. he also approved Cards, his 3rd most spectacular failure and finally MobileMe, his 4th most spectacular software failure

Outsourcing the code writing to low cost centres would be my guess.

Vista, anyone?
